Has anyone seen or bought from these guys? Japanese Airbrush Online Shop? ( sorry can't bookmark the addy on my stupid I pad POS)

I would not buy from them. They are not licensed by Iwata.

I bought a hi performance on ebay from a Japan seller and the item never shown after a month. As soon as I complained, I got automatically refunded. I had a tracking number but it was not being updated at all.

When I spoked to a licensed retailer they said:

These brushes that are being sold from Japan are often 1 of 2 kinds of brushes. They are either knock off brushes or brushes that did not pass quality control and are being sold out of the back door by someone on the inside. There are legal actions being taken at the moment due to the sales of these Japan Imports currently. Iwata has a price policy. The only way to know if the brush is legitimate is to visit Iwata's website and look at the list of dealers. If the seller is not listed as a legitimate dealer, it is either likely used, or a fraud.

Thank you! I just had a bad feeling about them anyway, thanks Melle!

This is good to know. I just looked at a CM-CP at Amazon (japan seller) that was WAY cheaper the, say, chicagoAirbrushsupply.

I can copy and paste from my iPhone from Amazon. Think it's more of a user error problem.

Iwata-Medea Custom Micron SB Dual Action / Side Feed Cup https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TJ9ZLE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_P4VYwbS98JP40

If you are using the Amazon app, there is a "Share" button below the Buy buttons.

Nah man, I've got an IPad that came over on the Mayflowerlol it won't load any new apps, it won't copy half the time or paste when I want it too.

You should still be able to tap and hold in the address bar of Safari and "Select All", it should come up with a "Copy" option. I had one of the first iPads, this should have always been an option, from what I remember.

Thanks for the info, soon as I get another laptop I am throwing this IPad in the lake, or running it over, o_O, what were we talking about here?

It will be legit but the problem is the Japanese vendors don't apply export taxes relative to your country so there is a huge risk of your purchase being held by your countries customs dept. and being subjected to costs more than had you bought it local, doesn't always happen but something you need to consider.

I'm actually using a proxy, so they will mark the value etc as I request them. So that won't be a problem. Whereas if I bought the cm-cp2 from eBay, albeit they are around $3-30-350 shipped, they aren't willing to mark low value like you said, so it'd end up being more expensive for me at the end of the day.

Checked out their sculpting clay, not a bargain at 18 bucks a pound.

I'm considering this, if I can't get the others:

http://item.rakuten.co.jp/d-satomi/10000083/?scid=af_sp_etc&sc2id=247567789

The proxy is offering a 10% disc for this vendor.

I brought all of my iwata equipment from rakuten, if it's fake you couldn't tell outstanding quality and by far much cheaper. I used a couple of venders- summy shop, ami ami and their was one more but I can't remember the name. I have however noticed lately the prices have skyrocketed of late on rakuten shops, anyway good luck

Damn. So you are saying you got a fake one from rakuten?

The shop tht i bought from looks legit, judging from the items hes sold in the past and are currently selling.

How do you spot a fake and a real iwata?

I just bought an Iwata CM-SBv2 off Ebay from a Japanese seller (zipangu999) about 3 weeks ago for $340.oo usd. Paid $20 shipping and got it in 6 days. I saved about $100 to $140.00. And yes it is an authentic Micron (not a knockoff). I just looked at same airbrush from same seller and now its $469.99 (ouch). I guess I jumped on that purchace just in time :). Heres the link to keep an eye on because the price may go down again...hopefully.

Might be hard to check prior to purchase but iwata as mentioned above have a system that utilizes certain codes and markings on the gun to say legit or not..i believe you can get the info from their site..Ask the seller to send you the guns stamped serial number or photograph it for you..Check that number at Iwata and possibly find out its a fake which likely if coming from Japan and china will be fakes, but there are also no doubt legit sellers..if the seller has no issue sending you the info you want and the numbers check out then it may be worth trying out, or they may just started copying Iwatas marking system LOL...Good luck...Not sure if the microns are the same but would assume so..

Those marking systems are easily copied / engraved, if they can copy the font on the Iwata lol. I'll post some pics as soon as I get them and see if you guys can check.
