Airbrush Grips?

Checking out a post in "show your space" and saw a grip for airbrushes (nickkat1). Can anyone give me a link to where to get one? I have big hands and am having a problem holding the ab. The ab is sliding around in my hand like a wet eel...LOL.

Thanks,
GMan

I believe Harder and Steenbeck makes a grip. Many people just add something like foam or clay or some other thing to their brush to adapt it. Adding an inline moisture trap to the airbrush can act as a bit of a handle as well.

Yes, adding the "T" moisture trap is one of the best add-ons I've used.

Nah Mel.. I did try one and it was awkward. But if Graphman has the big hands, that might actually be better.

Oh yeah, Graphman, another airbrush you might try, is the Iwata TR series with a t-handle filter. Using your middle finger istead of acting like you are shooting a gun, makes for a very very comfortable experience. I'm really starting to fall in love with mine. At first I thought they were a novelty, but once you put the t-handle on and use your middle finger, they really shine. I've started selling off my airbrushes because I really only need a couple now.

@Bossman I can see that it looked like I was aiming my reply to you :) so I've re-worded it but I was actually talking to Graphman about the kind of Grip he was looking for :D No worries ;)

Grex Grips...That's the one I was looking at.

Graphman, if you're trouble is you have big hands [like me] you could try using your left - [or right, if you're a lefty] - hand to support your right as you spray.
I know it sounds weird, but it works for me, and gives me some extra control and stability on my brush as I spray.
Hope this helps, as I know what a pain this can be at times.
If the grips help - use 'em.
You might also think about a review for us here, we'd like to know if they work, or how it helps you.

Hi Splasha:

Using the other hand for support. Does feel a bit strange. Matter of finding the right hold that works for me. If I get the grips, will give some feed back.
Thanks,
GMan

Chech out some of the grips on thingiverse- 3d printing is cheap these days, and if you have a friend who can help you - or if you have some CAD skills yourself, you can make a custom grip that fits your hand pretty cheap! :)

The guy you are responding to hasn't been back here in over a year and a half, if you click on a member's avatar you can see at a glance when their last visit was, if it was more than a year, chances are they're never going see or appreciate your help, digging up old threads has a tendency to bury more recent threads where someone could be needing important help;)

Oh, I didn't notice! I'll be sure to keep that in mind in the future.
Thanks for the tip :)

No problem at all, we frequently get new members who make a couple of posts and then never return, so it's not nice when people like yourself do their best to offer help and advice for nothing.:)
