I just thought about it - co2 is cold right is this going to screw me up- it's already colder than a you know what out here in mid-west!! I was going to kill my mac-valve didn't want by $500 compressor to keep psi steady

Never mind I love my co2 tank no more air fluctuations - I was going to murder my mac valve and that compressor!

lol Love it you solve your own problem just after posting it up for the world to see.

So can you translate your first post now you're not ready to throw things out the window. What was your issue and how was it resolved? It may help someone else in the future.

Well- seems like I am getting poor atomization from winter weather I had heard co2 would spray very cold it doesnt! Hated the compressor going up and down mac- valve is pain to me - I wanted to dial in and stay there! I must say hardest part was getting 1/2 to 1/4 inch reducer - I ordered one but hose did not screw on all the way = super glue and electrical tape!

PITA running anything bottled..No matter what your running through, the venturi basically boils the paint anyway :). If it works for ya, all good but i'd prefer a compressor..keeping PSI costs a $20 regulator, not a $500 dollar compressor LOL..PS you can also buy more expensive manifolds that have a PSI regulator on each outlet, mac valves just for fine correction, not so much regulating air flow. Super glue and electrical tape? talk to you soon in the troubleshooting section LOLOL

How are you going to run compressor outdoors? - I paint in public on the road, have been back and forth across country several times lately. The air hose screwed on just not all the way- probably didn't even need it but for extra protection a little super glue and electrical tape now the hose I am using is attached to the reducer- also have 3 year old I paint late at night when not roaming this earth!

What is pita like for animals? How does co2 boil the paint? And yes was going to upgrade compressor =$300-500 for what I was looking at! Much Respect!

Co2 been widely used and just being rid of a noisy compressor. Not that my Emda make noise I can hardly hear it, but if it one day give up then finding another as good, will be expensive, --- so I prepared by buying a second hand reduction valve and then if the problem come, I must find out if to rent a bottle or buy one to get refilled. But Co2 is only "cold" when it is released from a fire extinguisher it's the expantion that make it cold and the volume used by an airbrush will not make any cold. Beside CO2 is dry, it contain no water but is heavier than air, --- could mean it work better than air, just wonder.

I am painting with microns- have suspicion my 5 lbs co2 is going to last long time- I love it- silent steady airbrush working better than ever very pleased with co2 I paint at very low pressure it is not cold

LOL PITA=Pain in the arse..Fluffed up, meant simply the venturi heats up the carrier solution and air/gas anyways, so meant the cold should affect it much at all. Didin't know you painted on the side of the road but easily enough sorted with a spare 12 volt deep cycle battery a small invertor and run a small tanked compressor, could mount it in the boot LOL, sound proof that a bit and just have a manifold you can plug into on the back of your car :)
