Hey everyone, I currently use an eclipse but am wondering what your thoughts are on the revolution. Would there be much difference as they have the same needle size? I'm mostly using auto air paints
Unlikely there is any difference. Like comparing a Mazda and a Ford, look slightly different but same same really... Where are you in the world? What else do you do? Can I get you to pop along to the intro section and say hi? Here is the link.

Asking about which airbrush is the right one for you is a loaded question LOL .
What works for many does not work for a few kind of thing .
What are you looking to do ? Get more detail? just have another airbrush ?

While everyone will say the Eclipse is a work house of a airbrush (which I use 85% of the time) it is nice to have one that can give more detail.

I'd guess it's mostly a budget-optimization question, as the Revolution is cheaper than the Eclipse. If so, that might take the HP-C+ out of the running.
If it is a budget issue, I'd say get an Eclipse. You can get a refurbished model for roughly the same price as a Revolution. I can't compare how well they spray, as I don't have a Revolution, but I'd agree with AndreZE that the nozzle design is more broadly recommendable.
I have ABs with smaller nozzles like the Revolution, and don't have a hard time with them personally, but they are still fussier for me than the Eclipse nozzle in a way that makes it easy to imagine them giving beginners or people with large or callused fingers a hard time. So in the absence of more personal knowledge of the recommendee, the Eclipse is the safer bet.

I'd need more information before trying to answer this question. Ok, I got Auto air paints, but what are you painting? And specifically what would you be looking for our of a new brush? More detail, better atomization, easier paint handling, broader spray range. etc... ? I will say tat I don't personally consider there to be much of a difference in the two brushes that you do mention - I do have an Eclipse in my collection, but got rid of a Revolution (felt it was redundant).

Thanks for the feedback, I was looking for more range and detail but if there's no difference I'll stay with the eclipse and check other options for detail

I use my evolution a lot for spraying thicker on to shirts.
However I believe my eclipse I have a .5 needle and nozzle for it. And I'd go that route with the self centering nozzle.
Funny thing is I NEVER use my eclipse(or H&S) , I use the badger xtremes i have out of sheer guilt, one had issues with nozzle leaking so Badger sent me a new one... A new Xtreme that is so I have 2.
2 most expensive ones are never used go figure.
I will saw swapping needles and nozzles sucks. But if you want detail i think eclipse can do .2 needle kit as well

I have actually both and..this is just my personal opinion -Eclipse kicks Revolution's butt any day all the way from Florida to Adelaide. I had Revolution before Exlipse and the first thing I noticed was the control I had with Eclipse, which I didn't even know how much I had been lacking with Revolution. Balance is completely different. Cleaning is easier as well. This of course is a personal opinion and someone else might think differently, but I truly believe there is a reason why Revolution is cheaper.
