Hello from Little Falls, NJ.

First off, thanks for having me!

After racing slot cars for a few years, I got tired of having the same old paint schemes as everyone else and decided to try my hand at airbrushing and detailing the plastic bodies. I quickly became fascinated with the airbush as it's own hobby. I love tinkering so it was only a matter of time. I can only use acrylics due to a breathing ailment. Spraying on the small plastic bodies has been interesting but I'm getting a feel for it now. Well after many do overs anyway!

Anyway, I'm happy to be here and hope to be able to both learn and help others as I learn as well.

Dominic

Welcome aboard the forum @DominicL ! Lots of folks to help with things here. We are extremely nosey so give us the details of what airbrush(es), compressor, paints (brand), etc you're using. Helps us figure out any issues you may have with what you're using.

Welcome from the U.K. Dom. Hope you enjoy your time here. If you’re happy to, throw up some pictures of the cars you’ve painted. It’s always fun to see the different projects folks are working on.

Let's see if this works. 022.JPG 019.JPG I'm still working on technique, proper thinning and air pressure but the more I paint, the more I'm figuring it all out. Quarter is there for size reference. I'll get a more focused picture of the coupe later on.

The lines look clean, colours look bright, I’d say you’re well on the way. Especially painting that small.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the compliments! As far as the lines, I'm a stickler for perfection to a fault! However, I did spray a coat of clear autobourne sealer to seal the tape better. Seems to work well.

Lee, I do believe I've seen the video(s) you mention in your comment. Lord knows my heads going to explode from all the info I've been taking in! Thanks again!
