What kind of paint would be good for stirafoam

Air-Valve Autobot!
I keep pushing my tiny 3 chanel airplane to its limits now it needs a makeover and new motor that only costs 15 dollars . The airplanes original paint peels off with tape so i am thinking of ettac private stock but that paint seems to stay tacky i was thinking of just a super fine coat at a time with the hok yellow but that would just probably melt the foam . After i re paint it i will just cover it with packaging tape to make it stronger. Worst comes to worst a new wing is 9 dollars and the fuselage is 12 not bad and the Damn thing is durable it takes a beating

If you recover it in packaging tape that will also make too heavy, I just use normal household water based finishing paints, as you said you can remove the paint with masking tape, I like this feature because it means I can redo it as often as I want.

On the box your plane came in it states the all in flying weight, if you add to that it adversely affects flight performance, that's why it's made of foam and not lead, lol

I have painted a few of my styro glider models with AA with no problems.

Nothing with a solvent. Water based is safest, really thin coats.

ive messed about with some polystyrene heads in the past and just used watered down acrylics with no problems , tho as someone stated above the weight may affect control. (saying that it had original paint on it which must have been factored into the design)

Hi.
Whichever paint you use it must not have any solvent or chemical base.
As a result, you are tied to water based colour.
As previously stated, you should try a test first.
I also agree with the idea of very thin coats, as well.
Less weight,better flying control.
