Digital "Blanking"?

you should have a similar file to that registration file. You can try to look for that file, or try to right click the shortcut and select run as administrator. Then select the do not register button. that may work. I do not have win 8 yet.

You can also try to search for the file name com.adobe.* and see if it tells you where it is. Then edit that file like I said above.

Thanks a lot jgny,

I got it to work but had to do some things a little different. For anyone with Win 8 or 8.1 this is what I did to get rid of the Register window;

Right click on Shortcut>Properties>Shortcut tab>Advanced>Check box - Run as administrator>Apply>OK
Open program and if the Register Window opens click "Do Not Register" and next time you open the program it should not open with the Register window again. :) Nice :)

These are right at the bottom of the download page.
Windows Serial number: 1045-1412-5685-1654-6343-1431
Mac OS X Serial number: 1045-0410-5403-3188-5429-0639

Actually works now.
Thanks to all you wonderful, helpful people out there.

You can also use GIMP it is free and there are versions for most platforms. I use it with Win8.1 and Linux Mint 17KDE. Have been using it for years even though I have several versions of Photo Shop and PaintShop.

Old post but it's still piracy if you didn't already have the license for cs2. This is from Adobe website " "Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers." So it's not free for everyone, meant for people who already have a copy and need a license code again to run the now defunct cs2. I personally don't see an issue as they have it available right on their site, but their words do not indicate free. If it was, you wouldn't have to get all the activation code and register with adobe. By stating how to bypass registration with common tricks we all know with turning off Internet and using administration privileges, you have made it piracy. If you have to backdoor anything, it's not legit. I don't care but just saying.i think it's all overpriced imo and still use cs4 a lot.i prefer corel painter these days

Hi, Immortal!
What is it about Corel Painter that you particularly like?
I've used it a bit [ came on my laptop, but wasn't really inspired, if you get my drift!lol

Never seen painter come with a computer. Anyways, the brushes are more natural and there are a ton more. There is a whole list of airbrush brushes you can use in it and I've set up my tablet so it's almost like using an airbrush. I just like how painterly it is lol. Photoshop has its place, but the brushes are lackluster, always find myself just using the standard soft round brush
