CM-B Nozzle

Air-Valve Autobot!
Hi all
I was having problems with my micron there seemed to be a delay in pulling back the trigger and paint coming out, i was in my second strip down to clean when i dropped the head an it landed on the nozzle [emoji20] i eventually got the needle thro and tried to spray, well the delay is solved as there is a small amount of paint coming thro without pulling back the trigger now so i take it its buggered. Its a sad day in my house lol
My questions is can i just replace the nozzle as ive read that you need to replace the whole head? Secondly i checked on the site i use and the nozzle alone is about £45, is this correct or does anyone know were i can get it cheaper?
Thanks

Yeah I need to get a Micron nozzle myself and looked them up yesterday. A bit more expensive than I thought they would be. I don' t know why they are $20 more than what the other nozzles go for. Are they that much more precise than the HP-C nozzles? Maybe.
I used to argue a person should get the whole assembly, but it just seems hard to believe there is that much difference than just replacing the nozzle.

Yes you can just change the nozzle, I've done it with my CM-SB 0.18mm, just be careful when you put on the nozzle cap because it's a very tight fit.

Just need the nozzle. The big cheeses will argue otherwise but I can not see any drawback with mine having done just that.

For starters the HP-C does not come in 0.18. And I'm sure it is made much more precise.

Thanks @AndreZA & @Melbee i have the 0.18 set up aswel, glad to hear just the nozzle will do, ill be much more careful for now on, were do you get yours from? The cheapest ive seen is £45/€58

Microns are .23 and .18 and both cost the same. An HP-A and B both use a .2mm nozzle, so it's not the size that counts. yeah yeah yeah
Since we never hear from actual Iwata people willing to converse with the little people who use their product, we will never know if it's just a con job or not.

I'd like to think the micron parts are more expensive because they are more precisely machined, better quality materials. I believe they are but I also don't think it accounts for all the price difference over parts for my HP-CH. Like a lot of companies, I think they charge what they think they can get away with.

A bit off subject here but the Badger Sotar is priced higher then the rest of the Badgers not because it made better or get such good results, but because they have to so that people take it serious. That's from an interview with Ken.
