Hello from Liverpool UK!

Michal

Gravity Guru
Hello every1, my name is Michael, im 28 years old and recently started learning beatifull art of airbrushing, i purchased airbrush last year to paint my model of Bismarck and after that airbrush went to the draw for a looong time. For last 2 months i,ve been watching hundreds of videos on youtube, tutorials, tips, lessons and basically everything that will help me in learning process.
I always wanted to learn to paint but why am I starting at age 28? seems a little late, but i guess its never too late, i am very motivated as well =) I hope i will learn a lot from here, many great guys from what i seen so far on this forum, for all mispelling I apologise in advance, english is my second language.
Once again hello to all of You!

its ok michal, to most liverpudlians english is there 2nd language aswell heheh

Hi Michael, welcome from another Brit on the south coast. I wish I had started to learn to AB at 28! I might be good at it by now. I didn't start learning until I was in my early 40's, so it's never too late!

Welcome from Washington State :). As Squishy said I too wish I'd started when I was your age. Keep at it and by the time your 40 you will be a well known artist :).

Hi Michael, welcome from Ukraine, and I am also a couple of days on this forum

Welcome from the UK , I wouldn't worry about your age,I've only just started and I'm half a century. God this thread makes me feel like an antique now:(

Another welcome from the UK. I started late too. Just go with the flow. Have fun.

Welcome to the forum Michal, i see lots of new names in this post but i haven't been on much over the last few weeks. I'm 48 and have been using an ab since around 1984, loads of folks are starting much older than you are so theres really no age limit. My work colleague is 60 this year and he's just got the bug. I got him doing dots and daggers till his eyes go funny looking at them. At 28 you just get to paint for a longer time. My Neice is 12 and happily airbrushes next to me. No age is too young or old.. Happy painting

Lee

Thank you all, im goin to try Mitches painting of Cameron next week! Thank U for warm welcome on forum!

Michal, I am 58 and just started a few months ago. Not getting beyond dots and daggers myself. Last month has been too crazy to do much:(

Do not give up Greg because u will regret it in couple of years... hard thing for me to do now is finding references easy enough to paint as begginer, something i can handle but will still look cool and give me will to continue

Nature will always provide inspiration.
Try something like goldfish, or trees - just simpler shapes to begin with, and remember that they don't have to be fancy.
Sometimes simple shapes make the boldest statements.
Just look at some early japanese art - simple line strokes, but very emotive results!

Thanks mate, will definitely try nature and animals ;-) Regards!

You may also give some cartoons a try. Do not hesitate to use stencils or masking. it will give you confidence and you can focus on controlling paintflow and build up. Remember: Result matters.
