Hello again!

I have been receiving some awesome advise and warm welcomes in my intro thread, thanks to everyone! Now I need help with a good first compressor to start off with this new adventure. I am looking for a compressor to last me at least a year or so. I will be using it quite often, about 4 times a week for about 2-4hours at a time. My work place is my apartment so I would like the compressor to be on the quieter side. Price range would be $100-$350ish? I'm in NJ, US, one bus ride from NYC.

I've read a couple of threads and saw people with compressors from $100-$1000! @_@

Anyway, any help on what I should get to get me started with my airbrush work will be greatly appreciated. I will be using it mostly for T-Shirts and hoodies for now but I will eventually move on to other none-wearable surfaces. =P

Thank you!

I would only buy the SilentAire Super Silent 20A. It's about $550 but will give you amazing quality and literally last a LIFETIME. I'd rather pay a little more ONCE.

I bought my super silent 20A back in 1998 for DM350 which roughly translates to $200 and she is still going strong.I had a normal compressor before that and just as im about to do fine detail it would kick in scaring the crap out of me..:poo::mad:lol

Yeah $500 is what I saw that one for, I'd have to save up a bit more for that but I do agree on spending more in the beginning for a quality product. IF there are ANY other options, please let me know. In the mean time, I'll just order the Iwata HP-BCS or CS. Still not sure lol.

Thanks again! :D

I have an Iwata Power Jet in the for sale section. Since its pushing around 45-50 psi, it may or may not work well for T-Shirt work. I used it for about a year and a half for illustration work.

Ill toss a wrench in there... the side feed hp sbs also takes bottles and cups and uses same needle and nozzle as a cs... i got two of the three... no sbs for me... yet.

Yes master i am learning..

My name is Bill it has been roughly 24 hours since my last airbrush related purchase. It has been 8 days since my last airbrush purchase.

I'm not using a California Air but one that has the same motor. Good enough for my needs but I don't go any higher than 30 psi. Quiet enough for the missus to sleep in the room next door.
