Paint sticking to needle

OK follow up to come but.

First time ever after asking this nozzle fell out on ow . Soaking now but the cavity where nozzle sits was caked with paint. I dipped a cue tip in the restorer and cleaned it out man it was messy. Already see paint coming out of tip. Letting soak then dry then soak again. Thanks for input.

Best forum I have ever been on even the dozen I have moderated over the last 20 years.

Got nozzle clean shot some black looked great. But paint sticking in nozzle so may need a new one might have a flaw inside. After blasting cleaner till it was clean I pulled nozzle to see if it was and it wasn't used quetip around it and pulled lots of black out. At least now I know how to remove nozzle.

Do not use any metal when scrapng inside the nozzle. When you fit the nozzle back into the body, put some wax or chapstick on the contact point. this will keep the nozzle in place and give a nice seal.

I haven't used metal. And the air seems good but I'll try. Main issue is all the paint is not flushing out of the nozzle.

I think the main issue is your paint and the PSI you use , if the paint is to thick and the PSI to low you will get this problem

I have tried all sorts of levels of psi with all different dilutions. And I have tried back flushing. It's almost like there is a slight scratch inside holding paint. Nozzle isn't to expensive so I may get a couple to have on hand. This way while I'm soaking one I can pain .

What i do when im finished painting is fill the cup with AB cleaner and pull the needle back a tiny bit and let the cleaner slowly drip thro the nozzle, then fill cup with water and do the same, then the standard backflush and blow thro.

how did you flush the brush?did you just use water or cleaner and did you use a small paint brush to clean the inside of the cup that helps get the paint off the inside and the part of the needle that you see in the cup and behind the nozzle.

NEVER spray straight out after you've back-flushed or scrubbed the cup. All that dried paint gets pushed back into the nozzle. I spray a bit out, back-flush, clean cup and pour out and wipe out. Repeat a few times and finish with water so not to leave cleaner in the passages.

OK I spray cleaner. Then I refill back flush and pour out wipe with paper Towle and sometime cutip bottom of cup if I see left overs. Then I spray cleaner 1 or 2 times till its clear for at least 10 seconds. That's my normal. I know not to back flush then spray so if I do it I dump and wipe. Yet no matter what I do lately I end up with paint in nozzle. Now I haven't noticed color change but I do notice change in.paint flow.

Use E'tac. It is 100% water soluble even weeks after it's been painted.
I will admit that I'm enjoying the E'tac range. It's a lot less of a learning curve for newbies as well, not so much brain strain with paint:reducer issues. And sooo easy to clean the brush

OK guess I need more paints now lol. I was using comart. Where can I buy them in sets? I like primary sets both opaque and Trans.

Do you test spray on a paper to see if you got ALL the paint out? What you might think is clean enough might still be dirty, I know when I do a complete tear down even after a good cleaning when I soak the parts in restorer I still get gunk out of the nozzle and tip not a lot but enough to cause a slight flow prob.

I was talking about when I color change. I always spray a touch away from my artwork first.
