Will acrylic paint used for air brushing get solids in the original bottle once it has been opened? If it does I guess straining the paint would be the answer. So how do you guys go about doing this and what do you use?

Yes, if the paint sits in the bottle for a long time it will dry on the sides of the bottle and in the bottle lid too, you can clean the bottle easy enough with worm water, I generally cut a small square of old pantyhose/stockings and stretch it over the bottle neck and replace the lid, or you can try this method;

You could also strain your paint into a clean bottle, or strain into small plastic shot glasses if your using small amounts, and use a pipette/ eyedropper to feed your brush.

Thanks for the informative post. I think I like the paint strainers the best.

The best answer I can give is ..it is always best to use the brand specific cleaner and reducers! Now for the short answer....
as you gain experience you will find other ways to save money, some use a variety of products, others use a "home brew", but when in doubt ...refer to first answer.:thumbsup: GOOD LUCK
