Well, my prize arrived late yesterday so here are my preliminary verdict.
-I must say they are dead ringers for the iwata guns. (as you would expect)
-I like the look of the black tail, it would look more like steel if it were shiney, in the matte it does look like plastic.
-The balance /weight /size feels identical to the Iwatas
-I only gave them a quick spray with water to check they worked, but I think I do like the lower trigger.
In the spirit of an honest review, there are a couple of 'issues' with the 200c. ( I doubt this is a manufacturing issue, just a quality control issue )
1)What I thought was paint stain in the bottom of the 200c turns out to be unchromed brass !! it looked like left over paint from the rinse water type of residue. despite giving it a 10 minute soak in restorer it wouldn't budge, so I got my needle point tweezers and gave it a light scratch, that's when I discovered it wasn't paint
2) There is a little brass screw in the numbers on the needle stop, well that has a burr on it. (now I know its there its going to annoy so it will be gone shortly with a little help from a nail file !! )
3) on the 100sb, the bottom of the cup was on so tightly that I couldn't undo it with my fingers, I had to use my soft grip pliers, and I was in fear of breaking /bending the cup in the process, (but didn't) but its now nicely snugged up finger tight.
none of the 'issues' will affect the performance of the brush and as soon as the weekend gets here i'll throw some paint through them to see what I think.
Thank you again @frank artale for offering up such an awesome prize. They are a welcome addition to my AAD
