introduction

Welcome to the forum. I don’t have anything to add regarding the kit as the guys have said the same thing I would have. So simply Hey and Welcome! :)

Do I need to buy regulator separately?

I found this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ORAZIO-2...457311&hash=item3f8d82d999:g:OacAAOSwc~laG~M8

Does anyone have any tips of a good shop in europe? Unfortunately it gets more expensive to order from US.
Would be smooth to find the majority items in the same site instead of ordering from many different sources.

Again, thank you for all help Ive got, appreciate it! :)
I believe you would need to buy a regulator separately. The website Robby posted is excellent, great prices and service too.

Has regulator, just need an adapter from a standard compressor quick connect to 1/8bsp.
Unless you use the hose style I linked. Then just a euro style male qc with male threads. And maybe a water trap.
And this one ...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00VTSQOO8/ref=mp_s_a_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1526823291&sr=8-18&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=silent compressor which would be like the 9l orazio but a little smaller. Also appears a euro qc w male threads and that hose I linked would do.

So I need a water trap also?
Okay.
Can you recommend any article or something here on the forum that I could read?
This just got so much more complicated than I expected haha :D And Im not very technical so Im afraid I wouldnt know how to use/handle/"install" these compressors+accessories.

I know Im being the stupid one here but I just want to get everything right and not accidentally break anything/buy wrong parts.

Most of the regulators you'll find are built into traps. IDK if you'll actually need a water trap. I've not needed one on any tanked compressor for airbrushing....
Other than @AndreZA s chart and what's been brought up most compressor threads will be about the same.
I'm sure if you post up what you already have/ are about to order someone here can help you out just about any time of day.

Or you could just write or call air-craft and tell them you need a package with an eclipse, a sparmax tc-610h ,a hose, a sparmax cleaning pot, some cleaner, and a nozzle cleaning tool, and pick your paint set. Get interdental brushes at the drug store.
All set, maybe ask them to arrange a package deal.
Basically what you were looking at but with a way more powerful compressor.
Not enough for fan brushes or spray guns but should do all your eclipse needs.

Edit: that compressor comes with hose so nevermind the hose.

dont over analyse what has been said above...... all those numbers and specs will explode your brain..... i know they did when i started.

You need
a compressor
Something capabable of producing 60psi WORKING pressure and a decent size tank so its not refilling every 5 miutes. Once you know what compressor you're getting you'll know what size the compressor oulet is,
Regulator:
This may / may not be included with the compressor, if not then purchase one with a moisture filter just for piece of mind. If it has a regulator but no moisture trap you can get the small ones that fit the airbrush end. they also provide a reasonable grip for the brush too.
airhose
choose the airline to suit the outlet from the regulator, either 1/8 or 1/4 is the norm. if you're getting the iwata brush you'll need either 1/4" or 1/8" at the compressor end and 1/8"at the airbrush end. They make hoses to suit either scenario.
airbrush
The Iwata has the 1/8" fitting.
Paint
what you have available locally is advisable but not always an option. You've already mentioned, Com-art or Golden high flow and they'll be a good starting point.
Ventilation.
unless you are painting in the great outdoors then you will need ventilation of some sort. Open window / exhaust fans are all good choices. The better the ventilation the better it is for your health.
Mask
A mask is always recomended, even for waterbase paint. You think your ventilation is adequate ? try blowing your nose after spraying black paint for an hour !!
An RZ mask with the hepa filter is adequate as long as you have room ventilation. They're readily available, not hugely expensive

Something to paint on.
Pretty much anything that stays still long enough can be painted if prepared appropriately !
Beverage and music of choice:
Yes i realise that beverages and masks dont mix well, but the RZ is at least easy to get on / off and you'll need to stand back every now and then to get a proper look at how your artwork is turning out.
If you like really loud music and nearby humans are not so keen then consider headphones, but not so loud you end up giving yourself tinitus - -

Haha awesome! Im super grateful for the help ive got here.
Maybe I will get the items mentioned from air-craft. Is the compressor "Sparmax TC-610H Plus Airbrush Compressor" as good as the previously you linked?
I will look further into it tomorrow :)

Personal preference would be for a compressor that will deliver around 1.2cfm (Cubic feet per minute/ 34lpm (litres per minute)
That will give you a bit of wiggle room rather than risk overworking the compressor and overheating and you having to buy another one :)

I'll try and keep this easy to understand . and i'm likely repeating what has already been stated but our rapid fire @Robbyrockett2 throws a lot of info out very quickly which can make it overwhelming if you dont get chance to ask questions (COUGH COUGH @Robbyrockett2 needs to slow down.)

the Eclipse will use .4 cfm / 11 lpm using ~30psi

the sparmax will deliver between .81 -.98 cfm/ 23-28lpm so it will be running half the time you are airbrushing. I'd consider this an absolute minimum.

a compressor that can deliver 1.2cfm/34lpm will run for approximately 1/3rd of the time that you use it, which gives it plenty of time to cool down

Please dont go buying a compressor until you've checked here, you may buy the wrong thing, need extra parts and if we can guide you wisely this will be an investment piece for you that will give many years of trouble free use
By all means go ahead a get the eclipse and the paint if you've made a decision there,

Have you checked out the following, they're both in the Netherlands,

Foxy Studio http://www.foxystudio.com/shop-home/

or @Lion-Art has some sensible 'kits' https://www.airbrushlionart.com/Eclipse-CS-Starters-Set

No, not really. See Jackies post.
Though, quality wise its supposed to be among the best, it doesnt have the abundance of volume of air that we like to have.
(note that lion-art pairs it with "starter" sets)

Heres the questions.....Do you plan to do murals or artwork bigger than oh, say 1Mx 1M?
Do you plan to spray on fabric?
How often would your art be bigger than .5M x .5M?

Im usually doing paintings around 1,5 x 1,5m and sometimes bigger but never 5x5m. I paint on panel or canvas, with a ground layer of gesso or something like that.

Thanks @JackEb will check them out.

My budget for this "start" kit is around 570$ , I know that isnt super much but will it cover everything I need?

I’ve gone back through the thread but I can’t see any comments regarding noise (or lack there of) for the compressor.

Apart from a preference for quiet is it a necessity ?

Are you always painting at the one place or do you go onsite and do murals ?
