Yer not sure on the one inch spray pattern but the anthem goes to 3 inches on its standard needle so may be too wide for you LOL, but yer rattle cans are easy enough and prob better for the job.

Yes-When you move it fast enough LOL, its standard spry pattern is round and not fanned but 3 inch coverage its easy enough to get flat coats, just overlap your spray pattern like you would witha HVLP gun, but if you where planning on buying something for your models there are much better alternatives than any airbrush and just as cheap.

A bit against the grain for an airbrushing forum, but for a nice metal finish on a model plane, it's hard to beat foil.

You just need a roll of dollar store aluminum foil (you actually want the cheap rubbish stuff as it is thinner than the "good" stuff), and a good low viscosity contact cement.

im using my infinity with the large set up i think its .6 but dont quote me on that . I also have the large plastic color cup . I love the thing it works all the timeand even sprayed slightly thined gesso im starting a wip on my plane its been along time
