I return with the Helix eraser at his point and bring out the highlights in the teeth. The Exacto blade also allows me to get some super fine highlights rendered on the teeth and gum line. I work my way up and continue adding highlights and texture to the upper jaw with the Helix eraser. I also add a touch of texture in this area with the airbrush and the Dru Blair texture stencil before pushing the highlights and texture I’d just created with the eraser back with a light wash of pigment. I then reestablished the highlights on the teeth and continued building highlights and texture on the lower half of the skull with the Helix. An aggressive pencil eraser with a light touch allowed me to develop some cool subtle texture where I didn’t necessarily want really bright highlights. I worked the texture and highlights with a variety of erasers a little at a time and then pushed it all back with a light layer of paint from the airbrush. I repeated this process until I was satisfied with the results.
