compressor help

My air compressor is leaking air from the knob where you turn the pressure up or down and the pressure doesn't seem to be very accurate with what the gauge shows. if this makes any sense. this type of compressor is new to me

Is it leaking through the threads? If so thread tape may do the trick. Otherwise maybe a new regulator.

I will try the tape. i just got the compressor about a month and a half ago.

If it is the actual dial it will need to be replaced. While you are doing that, replace it with one that has a built in water trap.

I'm not sure if I have the same issue as you exactly, but what I think my problem is that there are different types of quick connect pieces, and I believe I mismatched my connectors. One of these days I'm going to get all new quick connects and I think that will fix my problem
