B BrianPaints Guest Dec 31, 2016 #5 It will fit. The steeper taper of the Iwata needle will make it a bit more responsive, but it's not a dramatic difference.

Ronald art Air-Valve Autobot! Dec 31, 2016 #7 if I am not mistaking you will also need to change the nozzle for a Iwata nozzle if you change to the iwata needle

Nada Air-Valve Autobot! Dec 31, 2016 #8 It can be done... However your better off changing head assembly as well as needle. But at that point your really getting into a lot of bucks. I do realize how fragile those needles are but I wouldn't want to be scraping a cm needle either.

AndreZA Air-Valve Autobot! Dec 31, 2016 #10 I used the nozzle and needle from my Iwata HP-B in my Olympos HP-100SB and it worked 100%. I would mate a needle and nozzle and not just one.

Yeah, the shorter tapered area means a steeper angle. You could get an Iwata nozzle, too, but if it were me, I'd see how the needle works, then decide if a nozzle or head unit would help, but my guess is the needle will work fine.
