    Hello
New wip, finally having a stab at my first piece of horror
Once i’m at one Mr Macmusic’s level i’ll pretty much focus on my horror.
Plan is to eventually sketch my own horror pieces and pant which is probably light years away but you’ve gotta dream big right??:whistling:
Anyway I quite like working with colour even though i wasted most my red getting the hue down for a blood tone lol
Who knew orange would be the colour to choose haha well google did so i did cheat a bit.
There is loads of overspray but one thing I took off the Dru course which suited my style down to the ground is overspry only matters if you are using transparents.
The skin tone will be opaque so i’ll hide it underneath.
When I say style I mean being lazy so not reaching for masks.......
Anyway hope you all like  554BD21F-3B69-4319-9D86-3D45B7F9CDD5.jpeg

It has to be so damn cool going into it with some knowledge, the little you've done up till now shows you certainly took it all in:thumbsup:

Oh definitely although I worked with Macs mate Kat and she has only real beginner knowledge yet smashed it.
I think as long as you have the absolute bare bones you’d make use of the course.
I’m going back in September to do the advanced course.
To be honest I think i’ll be a regular now lol
Just the colour side of it helped me out no end.
Also he has a fairly blasé approach to technique, it’s pretty much if it works use it and always protect the important bits so where i was stressing out before trying to have Mitch’s level of control now its kind of just throw caution to the wind and it seems to be working.
I’m real happy Malky its actually made me really want to paint a lot lot more

    It’s on Lana Vanguard synthetic paper, I think it’s 22cm x 32cm so just over A4.
The big red magnets I only just bought, they are awesome.Really really strong

I use 10 mm neodymium magnets and they do my head in.They are strong little buggers and snatch my craft knife out of my mitts sometimes. They jump together and fracture sometimes.

Should get yourself two of the 30mm x 10mm ones, drop your pants, hold one in each hand then let go of both at the same time and watch what it does to your nuts, I had that done 30 years ago to stop me breeding idiots, worked a treat:thumbsup:

    2FC65184-1751-4A7E-9C0A-4251D74CF423.jpeg Quick update
I’m really proud of the lips and really proud how i’ve learned how to use the Illustration paint.
I’m at a point now i can erase off tone rather than going back to the white of the paper and it was all learning that valuable technique patience lol.
Also the hair and the bits of blood on the chest are out of focus so its been pretty good practice softening things to push them into the background.
All in all i’m really happy with the direction this is going but my only complaint would be I really need to learn to use masks and my next painting i’m 100% getting masks involved.
May even use them when I start laying the skin tone down on this one.
