Home Depot is out of stock on the California 1hp 5 gallon silent compressor I ordered. It's back ordered for two weeks. They're offering me the 1 hp 8 gallon silent compressor that is on sale which will cost $1 more. It appears to be a no-brainer, but I thought I would ask here. Is the step up from 5 gallons to 8 gallons going to make a huge difference?

Means it will take a bit longer to charge up but will be longer between re fills I expect. Sounds like a good idea as long as everything else works.

Yep. If you have the room for the bigger compressor, I'd go for it.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but yes, bigger is better. Nothing worse than something over heating and fizzling out, you want something that can keep pumping that pressure.

$1 for longer spraying - well worth it.

You can have the biggest compressor around but if you have a premature trigger finger then it's not worth having......

No matter how big the compressor, tip-dry will always be an issue.

Bigger tank means more air to play with with less total run time on the motor. So that in turn means that the compressor should last a really long time.

I always like to give others the chance, but you know I'll do the honours eventually. Dont give me that innocent look, you know you're a permanent gutter resident lol.
