I enjoy doing these cartoons because they are stress free and gives me a chance to try different things.
I got some Golden fluid acrylics to play with and also some Golden airbrush medium and wetting agent.
One of the paints was Golden fluid Paynes gray which I don't like. It isn't gray at all. It is blue. It is the blue in the dog scarf and her jeans. If I need Carolina Blue for anything, I'll use this.
    Also playing with brushes.
Iwata CM-sb+, H+S Infinity .15 and a Krome ultra fine.
All three sprayed the paint very good with minor adjustments to the psi and the mix of mediums.

This isn't a masterpiece since I got some of the mix a little weak and didn't adjust the psi to compensate.

Hope anyone likes it. It is a lot of fun for me to just sit and play with the paint and brushes.
I do tend to learn something new with each one I do so it can't be all just a waste of time but that is about all I have anymore is time to play.

You are a good friend Malky to me. I wish we did live closer so you could teach me some things.
Yea, I'm just having fun. It beats just sitting around and worrying about the things wrong with my body. and why things don't work as good as they used to.
I have a weiner dog and she is my best friend. Can't move at all unless she is right behind me. I can't go outside at all unless she is with me. Must be the rabbit that hangs out in the yard and she likes to chase it.lollol

Having fun and learning something. I think you’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head Richard and that’s never a waste of time.

I'm just wondering if I could add a color to the paynes gray to make it more gray. Since it is so blue ( dogs scarf and jeans ) if I could work on it for a grayer color???
    Any suggestions on this???
The bottle is 4 oz. size and I could experiment without loosing it all.

Wouldn't a little orange (opposite of blue on the color wheel) tone down the blue?

Charlie, I think orange and a little white would work. It doesn't have to be a certain tone of gray but the blue has to go. I'll play with some measured amount to see what it does. I don't have any Golden orange but I do have red and yellow to play with.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

Use toothpicks for a dab of red and a dab of yellow. Unless you're trying to adjust a lot of paint, I can't imagine you'd need much
