I am trying to buy Windex Glass Cleaner in Belgium via amazon, but this is not allowed here is another alternative for Europe because it contains amonia as an ingredient!
is another alternative for Europe here?

Have you tried isopropyl alchohol and a q-tip ? It works better and faster than windex.

I use stelex brilliant. It is without ammonia. And it is dirt cheap.

Using a non amonia product is the better option... ammonia if left in your gun can cause the plating to be affected.

I know Big John knows this, and he's only suggesting a Q-tip soaked in Isoproply,
BUT to all Newbies..... Do not spray Isopropyl Alcohol into the air where it can be inhaled....
Inhalation can cause a number of symptoms, including headaches, nausea, vomiting, irritation of the nose and mucous membranes, throat irritations, and even difficulty with breathing. It may, with repeated exposure, damage the liver, skin, and the central nervous system.
Always use a spray out pot with a filter and preferably a mask as well while you're cleaning.

Curious why it’s not allowed. I’d like to find something without windex. Bubbles too much

May I ask a dumb question WHY WINDEX ???
Decades ago I know it was used in a home brew but it was found to screw with paint and with parts of the airbrush.
I know ammonia is not allowed in the UK but I am just wondering why you want or need the windex?

If you are using it for a reducer/thinner then it's worth paying the money for the proper stuff. If it's a waterbased paint then you can use some water and some thinner rather than straight thinner to save some money, only use just enough thinner to get it to spray how you want otherwise use bottled water. You just have to work out your ratios.
For cleaning/soaking, it's hard to go past methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) as an all-round solvent for waterbased paints IMO :)

Which i still think would do good as reducer at least for non auto surfaces.
    Personally I bought this
    https://www.amazon.com/Butyl-Cellosolve-2-butoxyethanol-Purity-500ml/dp/B00CF2JMDM

Which is enough to make 5 liters of 4012 at 10% in distilled water
and if i want 4020 then I just add 5% acetone.
So im set for a while at $5-6 per liter rather than $6 per 60ml

Almost forgot... 5 drops of ethylene glycol antifreeze per liter.
I only keep a 60ml bottle made up at a time so if its true that the 2BE breaks down in water over time and so old 4012 is an issue
well storage life pure is 5 yrs

    sorry for this late response!
it is not to clean my gun, but to provide the newly sprayed paint with effect
I bought the classroom in a box skull kit from Dru Blair, and there windex is used to give structure.

If you’ve bought one of his kits then email the school, explain your situation. I’m sure they’ll have an alternative....

Hey @musicmacd ... ... any suggestions for alternatives for ammonia based windex in Dru’s kits if ammonia windex isn’t available in a country ?

They’re normally pretty quick with responses,
I can have a play tomorrow with some liquids have here and see if there is something that may work. A lot will depend what you can easily get.
What about Acetone? Can you access that easily?

    acetone is no problem
I only have a few sheets of Dru Blair paper,
his paper can not be obtained in Europe, not even at Foxy Studio
I am afraid of damaging it by using other products of which I am not sure that they give the desired result as in the lessons
    thanks for your help:thumbsup:
