LOL ImmortaL, They just havent seen the light yet LOLOL..

But for canvas I'm a spectra tex man these days, back up with a little etac for the odd project but metal, wouldn't use anything other than uro's..At least till I'm not allowed to anymore LOL..

I'm seeing a trend here. No love for the urethane sprayers lol.

I would for metal/helmets, I just don't have proper ventilation for it. I can smell it in my house when I use cans of 2K clear. Thats the problem with a connected garage.
Most of what I do now is Illustration though, urethane's just don't erase like ETAC, Com-Art, and Createx Illustration. :)

Com-art for most stuff and Marissa E'tac for portraits. I also have Createx, Wicked, Daler Rowney FW, Schmincke Aerocolour and Lukas Illu colours as well. But nothing beats the first two mentioned.

I use Wicked as far as airbrushing goes. I haven't quite had a chance to try out any urethane paints.

Yeah, i'm surprise we don't have more HoK users ! Last post I do about it, i've got a lot of complain I dont put this brand in the pool ... ?!

Maybe this guys don't use the forum all the time :p

What? Why I hardly know what you could mean sir. I am but a genteel and naive little flower, as pure and innocent as the day is long *flutters eyelashes*, a sweet and unworldy little cherub, and butter wouldn't melt in my mouth.

And I bet your farts come out as tiny puffs of glitter, that sound like a unicorn's laughter and smell like rainbows :)

Moi! Fart! The very notion!!!!! One is so pure, one has no need of bottom burps. The glitter is from teeny little sneezes, which is what gives me my sparkling personality, and admittedly do sound like unicorn giggles. And I smell of rainbows because sunshine and rain fall upon me, and make skittles pop out.

Hey, Squishy.
Can you export some of them thar fumes over here, please?
From the sounds of it, our Pollies have been trapped in the back of your studio for a bit.
As for the glitter, how the hell do you get it outta the carpet?

She is probably escorted around on flying dolphins so carpet isn't an issue

The flying dolphins use the glitter for energy, not only am I practically perfect in every way, I'm eco friendly too.

Immortal, I want to give Uro's a try, but I don't have the place for it. Can't spray it in the house. :( But, I hear they are beautiful to use and the results are far better. Hubby wants to build me a separate studio. When its built then I will graduate to them. :)

Well I’m using Trident for the majority of my work and they spray, flow and atomize very well. However I don't think they erase as easily as Createx Illustration, so I think I’ll use that more for my paper/board based artwork.
I use AA for larger hard-surface work (helmets, tanks etc.) but I must say that I don't really like them :-/
They stay tacky, don't hold up well to masking and the candy colors just lacks the depth and clarity of the uro-based candies. Oh, and the blacks (both AA and Trident) looks strange when cleared - it looks like a satin black surface under glass (probably because the water based paints doesn't "re-wet" when the clear goes on like the uros do).
But I still use the AA for all their benefits: water based, LOTS of colors, affordable - I just swear more frequently when usin them :)
I have switched to uros (Inspire brand) for all my candy work though.

Well I've just managed to source some more Vallejo liquid watercolours locally! :D A small shop in the next town had a few, so once my tiny bottles arrive courtesy of a slow boat from China, I shall be able to mix away happily. I had 3 secondary colours but no primaries or black and white but now I have. Also got some acrylic thinner in case I start on those....
