Suggestions for instant response trigger AB

Tell you what, if the postie passes your house on the way tell him I said it was alright for you to test run it for me to save me sending it back if it's not right.

Or stop hanging around and get it ordered.

I cant order it yet I need the money first and like a complete tit, I completely forgot to hit the send button when I ordered my shares at Apple. :whistling:

I am surprised to read some of those things here. I personally use a micron an h&s evo and a h&s grafo. Yes there are differences but all of them are potent airbrushes. If you want to paint at like very very low pressure the iwata imo works better. Delay? Well the grafo i cant compare since it is different t and honestly the evo..that is nothing I did think about whem working. But then again Micron/H&S I never go down that low even on high details.

Main reason I bought the micron....sadly you cant really get used to a non iwata because ppl on the internet always say you got to have one and that, especially for beginners gets you always unsecure. ;)

You can do crazy good stuff with h&s and prob all other high quality brands.

P.s. a downside for me on the h&s was the long "way" you had to press the trigger down...much shorter on the micro ..so everyone has their priorities

I hope people by now have learned to never ever listen to what madbrush is saying, he obviously has no clue what he's talking about. For the price of one H&S you could have gotten atleast 6 Chinese replica's, nothing beats those, we all know how awesome they are :p

lollollol

Well in my case you mean another six Chinese cheapies to go with the three I have now:thumbsup:

I was having troubles with my brush,a lot of good advice has been given and I did have it spraying well today after following a lot of the advice.
I think my problem was, I wanted a micron in the first place, talked myself out of it being a beginner etc, even though some said buy it and grow with it, now I've just let my brain get the better of me and decided to buy it and stop me think "what if"

Sounds good. Get used get some experience and maybe try one first if you have the chance. There's nothing wrong with having more brushes later. My evo silverline nowadays is 90% of the time equipped with 0.4 and the big cup to do the less fine stuff quick and easy.

I use my AL Plus more than my Micron. I only really use it or my Mojo when I really need control for real fine details. The Evo is what I use for most of my paintings.

Whoop Whoop the micron has landed, ordered Sunday delivered today, now that's what I call service considering I live in a different country. Also got a freebie thrown in, haribo teddy bears:thumbsup:

Also ordered the Teflon seal and soft spring but don't know if they have already been fitted, will have to drop him an email.

Looking forward to using it, but it fits my hand nice and the trigger feels much softer in both directions compared to my Evo so I'm starting to think there might be a problem with that,I wouldn't expect there to such a difference.

I live on a different planet and everything I order comes yesterday:thumbsup:

You can't compare two different brand brushes, there are differences in all models including different models from the same brand, I believe that some who frequently use different brands choose each for their different characteristics in different situations.

But congratulations on your new toy and very well done to @Lion-Art again. lol :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just thought that the Trigger would have been similar sort of feel,

Just thought that the Trigger would have been similar sort of feel,

The Evo has a pressure adjustment for pressing the trigger down. You can adjust it on the bottom of the air valve with a flat head screwdriver, it can be set pretty soft. The downfall of the Evo, is no adjustment on the trigger pull tension. I don't know why they didn't make it adjustable, should be a standard option in my opinion. I changed out my trigger spring mechanism with the Infinity one, so I could adjust mine.
I'm sure you'll love the Micron, it's an awesome airbrush.

There will always be a difference, how the brush is built and designed will have bearing on as will the choice air-valves and springs use to make them, I'm sure you would even notice a difference between the Evolution and the Infinity, or even two of the same model if one had been tuned.

I could guarantee you if you came across someone else who had the same model you have for a month or two longer you would also feel a difference, a lot of the seasoned users service and tune their stuff before they use it for the first time, but they know what they are doing, so leave that damn thing alone, OK?;)

I found the adjustment screw under the air valve so I had adjusted that to my liking. But I think I'll strip the air valve apart as the more I try it the more I think it is gummed up, I did lube it up when I first got it:(

I've no intention of touching the micron, hell I'm not looking forward to cleaning it the first time either, but just going to put some paint through it and give it ago.

Just have fun with it, I generally clean either every two hours or between colour changes, you can clean dried paint off the sides of the cup and lob that out of the cup before running your cleaner through the brush, that will avoid debris travelling down to your nozzle so that you shouldn't need to strip down for cleaning, and if you see or feel anything out of the ordinary, check with the guys here.

I found my H&S brushes work best with no lube on valve stem, it tends to gum up. Take off the valve stem and remove the brass plate on the bottom. Be careful not to drop the valve stem or spring. At the top, where the stem is, the there is a white Teflon seal. Clean the stem and the seal with alcohol to remove any remaining lube and it should be pretty smooth after that.
My personal preference for the valve tensions screw is very loose. I loosen mine until it is very soft, but still has enough tension for the spring to push the trigger all the way back up.
