Airbrush service

Matty do you know anyone with another compresser? even a shop compresser will work just take off the water trap and regulator from yours and screw on a quick connect that fits the other compresser, then put it in line and add your brush and try it that way
Hey base,
My compressor isnt the problem as my other brush works thro it ok, it seems to be something around the head unit, im gonna send it away to be tested

If everything has been looked at and it is still not working then you need to send it in. Maybe they will mention that you replaced the nozzle only and not the head as recommended but keep telling then the problem started before you replaced anything.

Yea im gonna send it ti lion art to look at as thats were i got it from, i have replaced the nozzle 3 times i think it is so i dont think its that, as i explained to lion yesterday i dont think ive ever been able to spray below 10 psi altho when i first had the brush i didn't have the experience to know how to use it to the best of its ability
, im sure ill get it sorted [emoji4]

Hey Matty, have you sealed the tip? have you checked the seals around the head assembly? added lube to all threads? This definitely isn't normal behaviour, it should work out of the box, but if you've taken it apart several times I guess there's the possibility you have an air leak in the head assembly? Is the tip in good condition? No hairline crack? I've never come across this issue mate, not in life, not on the forum?
Have you pushed the needle around on the inside of the tip to try to loosen junk? Would love to know what's happened here.

Hey Mitch
Mate the nozzle is approx 3 weeks old, i have an old needle i use for cleaning, i wrap a tiny amount of cotton wool around it and give it a good going over, i had it steeping for about a day and a half, strip the brush down as far as is possible, including the air vale, cleaned everything, even cleaned the three holes at the back of the head unit.
I have a mini microscope to check the nozzle and needles with, there is no damage whats so ever. Ive never used any sort of sealer for the nozzle or any bit of the brush for that matter.
I dont know mate im stumped, it is on route to lion art as we speak, im sure he will get to the bottom of it [emoji4]
I will update his findings on this thread when he contacts me, unless ive been a prat and missed something very simple in which case im retiring never to be heard of again lol

We'll see mate, it'll be a lesson for all of us. A lot of iwatas come with thread sealant around parts like the tip anyway so.. we'll see buddy. keep us updated.

You mention the head was tightened with a spanner? It was several pages ago so you might of been talking about nozzle. ..... i just wad thinking maybe the head could of been squeezed warping the shape slightly...... any excessive air leaks at front of brush blowing back toward your fingers? What a female reproductive organ!

Yea mate i meant the nozzle, didnt notice any excessive air but thats not to say it wasnt there just i didnt notice lol
Im sure lion will get to the bottom of it

Ok, so its on its way to LionArt, so at least you should have an answer soon, but I cant stop thinking about this.....
did you have similar issue prior to changing the nozzle?

I recently changed the nozzle on my HP+, the nozzle was bought from a reputable supplier, it was ok on a quick squirt with water but the minute I put paint (reduced illustration) it started doing almost exactly what you are describing, all the symptoms of a blocked nozzle.
it turned out to be the wrong nozzle. His wholesaler had provided the wrong nozzles on his order, and I think he thought the codes had just changed. what I was given was for the HP, not the HP+, it was changed over and it worked as it should,

just thinking out loud ..

An HP+ what type The nozzles from the old HP-C has an diverent thread then from de HP-CP. I only thing what I can think off is that the new nozzle is not callibrated in the nozzle base. But I will look at it when it come in.

HP-B+
The HPB tip went on fine to the HPB+ Nozzle. Just wouldn't spray well at all.

It was damaged, i didnt do anything like drop it or anything, in fact any nozzle ive damaged i cant ever remember dropping or anything like that, i guess im just to rough with them

Glad you didn't murder it, and that it will be getting fixed soon. But if you want to come to my grotty gutter, you have to bring gummy bears, or i won't let you in.

Will be really interesting to know what the problem was. The first time I cleaned my cm-c, I noticed what looked like some sort of red sealer around the head, and was worried that I'd disturbed it, but it seems fine. I was going to ask if you get any build up of paint around the packing seal. I had a day when my micron didn't want to play, and knew the nozzle etc was clean, but then I noticed a line of paint on the needle where the packing screw sat. Cleaned it adjusted the screw, and it worked perfectly. I can only think it was affecting how the paint got drawn up to the nozzle???? who knows, but it did affect the brush. I know you said you cleaned it, but maybe if there was some wear?

Anyhoo, hope whatever it is gets sorted, and you are re-united soon :)
