Airbrush Practice Questions

Hi,
I'm wondering if this newsprint paper will be OK to practice on?Ebay UK item number 111901848130
Also I have a big bottle of black printer refill ink would this be OK to practice with? Rather than using my printer ink up, is there a type of inexpensive ink suitable to practice with?
When I'm ready to start to practice using colour,could I ask you to take a couple of minutes?Using the search term on Ebay UK - airbrush paints - and say which you think would be suitable to practice colour with?
I have 4 dual action airbrushes, 1 x Paasche 2000VL hobby VL airbrush kit and just bought 3 x airbrushes at an amazingly reasonable price £9.99 has a lot of really positive reviews for such an inexpensive airbrush.

Will I be OK with 4 airbrushes or should I buy some more for colour change overs?

Would highly recommend a different gun and a different paint/ink to practice with as i think you may find that combo very frustrating as a beginner..The thing about starting any new trade or skill is knowing how to identify whats going wrong..if you use a non airbrush paint...That will go wrong..Use a cheaper brush, it will cause issues so you will get stuck at times not knowing what an issue is..As a beginner you want to know the issue is likely you and not your gear..So lets start at the start..What's your budget?

I trained some years ago with just some fountain pen ink. Advantage: easy to clean, you can train as if you would work with over reduced colors and work directly on control against spidering. Disadvantages: one main point of airbrushing is to get used to reduction and tip dry, you miss that. I'd consider you to get just one bottle (preferably not black, maybe dark blue) of a good airbrush paint. Etac, Hansa pro color, schminke airbrush, those I know and you don't need any special reducer. createx illustration etc are supposed to be good too, but I don't know it.

As much as I enjoy createx, I wouldn't recommend them to a beginner. They almost put me off when I started

I agree with what Rebel was saying and would recommend you buy either a bottle of Etac or Com-art dark/cobalt blue.
If you then try out the guns you've got and have issues then at least we'll know it's the guns and not the paint. Airbrushes are prone to problems if they're cheap or have the wrong paint going through them.
Down the track when your airbrushes start giving you headaches your next step will be to invest in a better one. airbrushing is a cheap hobby and cheap to get very good equipment. compare it to motorbikes, photography, surfing, bike riding etc. it's worth saving up to get decent equipment

Totally agree with all the above.
As with most things, buy the best you can afford.
It will save much frustration, and give you better results in the long run.
Paints / inks are what they are and each has its own unique traits.
If i may, I'd suggest some Rowner-Daley FW inks for practice[ I started out with those, but any of the others mentioned will do just as well.
Enjoy the experimental stage and see what you can and can't yet do.
