Hi Mike.
If you put the kind of dollars you’re seeking it will stop a lot of wasted posts - just a ballpark figure should do it. And how old each item is so we can figure out the cost of spare parts etc would also be handy

Sure, the compressor was made in the mid 90s, i knew the person that had it, they had a nail buisness but it failed quick, so it was mainly in storage, i was thinking around $100 plus shipping

It's just super price for Super Silent!
If I'd search for good compressor, I'd consider this one. Especially, taking into account that things were manufactured to last those days, unlike most of nowadays products, many of which are crap. I don't mean expensive compressors:)

I also have a badger 150 syphon fed and iwata hpc, small badger diaphram compressor, with a box of 50 mixing jars with the marbles in it, spray gun cleaning set, and about 20 bottles of golden high flow and comart, i would like to sell everything together for around $200,will post pictures later, i apologize again if it takes me alittle bit to post, i work alot, if interested please feel free tp measege me

I have iwata hpc and badger 150 with extras on ebay if anyone is interested, messege me ans we can work somethinfg out, no problem

Hi guys its mike again, i forgot to post that im also selling an olympos l3 head, with .23mm needle and nozzle, for $120, or best offer, pictures soon, want to post here first before ebay, im looking again in new jersey u.s.a

I guess it's OK to post this. I bought the Super Silent 20a compressor from @mike k and it arrived in good condition. He sent enough oil to almost fill it up again. I have since ordered a new bottle of oil and will top it off when it comes next Tuesday. I called Sil-Air and talked to a tech. about not enough oil in it to try out and he said it was OK to cycle it since that is what they do when they get one set up to ship. It works great. Totally quiet and fills the tank to 90 psi and restarts when it reaches 60 psi.
Mike was a great person to communicate with and deal with and it was packed great. The postal service sucked with their tracking system though. It took a week to get it from when it was shipped and it was shipped priority 3 day shipping. Their tracking system scanned it last Sunday and nothing else until it arrive at my doorstep Thursday afternoon.
Compared to what a new one cost, this was a steal.
It was made in 1991 but looks like it wasn't used much.
Thanks Mike k for the deal.
Now I can paint without all the noise that my California Air compressor was putting out.

When you top it up you need to go all the way to "max" you only need to be between min and max but far safer a little below max:)

Hey Malky
From all the instructions I've found from their website, they show and tell to fill it up to the middle of the glass bubble and that is all. So far it is about 1/4 up in the bubble. I think i read if it is filled up higher than the middle, it could ruin the compressor. Man this thing is quiet. Now I can get up in the middle of the night if I can't sleep and paint until I get sleeply again. lollollollol

That's fine then as long as you know that:thumbsup: some have a min and max and you just have stay in between, ive never seen your model but tgey say middle, then middle it is;)

Im glad you've got it now and you're liking it, they're will be no stopping you now, why bother with sleep at all?, might as well just keep having fun since you won't be bothering anyone:)

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Your right. Who needs sleep when there is something to paint. I've always been up around 4:00am and that has carried over into my senoir years also. Now it is 3:00am for some reason and I don't want to make any noise so as to wake up my wife. We don't sleep together anymore ( neither of us would get any sleep from us tossing and turning all night ) but the other compressor just made too much noise when it was running to do anything that time of morning. Problem solved. Now if I could just paint something that I could say " that's looking gooooood ". lollollollol
I haven't been able to do much the last couple of weeks due to holidays but my new years resolution is to paint a lot.

Hope you are coming along with your project.

I've started on my gesso and clay boards but it being so cold the last few days and next week looks like it will only get into the 30's during the day, so I'm limited to being able to work on them since I do that in a outside building.
I saw on Youtube where someone had made boards with talcum powder and glue. I might play with that idea also and see how that works.
