Just tried some House of Kolor

Mac-Valve Maestro!
So, I just tried some HOK paint and thinned it with some ru311 HOK reducer. Ummmmmmm, I think I just had an orgasam !!!!!!!! Good lord that stuff sprayed like silk. Tip dry...what’s that, not a single trace of tip dry ...ever. OMG, I love this stuff.

However, IT AINT CHEAP.

Now, to find a place where I could maybe get smaller amounts. 4 oz bottles are just too big and cost tons. And, I can’t imagine you could do skin tones etc with it? Time to do some research .

And yes I know it’s toxic stuff. I have a full size spray booth at work I could use if need be or do a small fan/ filter at home in the garage for tiny stuff.

And it cleaned so easy with just a few drops of lacquer thinner...wooohoooooo

Coast Airbrush do a whole line of HOK I believe. I’m pretty sure they do smaller bottles for airbrushing.
I had my first go with Solvents recently and agree with everything you’ve said. If it wasn’t such a pain to deal with the toxic side of things I’d be tempted to switch entirely LOL.

So how does that work.. you use just the paint and reducer with no activators?
That’s right for the Inspire Solvents that I’ve used and I believe it’s the same for HOK. The paint doesn’t need a separate activator. So it’s paint, reducer and you’re good to go.
