Createx Illustration Red and blue violet

I don't have either red or blue violet in the Ci range (and can't afford them at the moment), so I don't know what the really look like. A print , from my printer, of the CI range obviously doesn't look anything like the actual colours ( the printed red violet is virtually identical to my violet, blue violet is almost exactly the same as cerulean blue) so I can't even try to colour match from this. I didn't expect to get the exact colours from a printout, BTW.

So can a very close approximation of red violet be made from violet, magenta, Scarlet and can blue violet be made from violet and cerulean blue. If anyone knows I would be grateful for the number of drops of each required

The best way is to start mixing and see what happens. Put one drop of each color on a paper or something. I take toothpicks and use them to take from the main color drops, and it helps to not waist paint. A little of this, and a little of that and watch the magic...
Cheers

why would you like to replicate something which you don't know how it looks?
Because I don't know what it looks like both of these are apparently useful in creating skin tones. Of course I can mix violet and magenta or scarlet however I want but it won't give me the same or even similar to CI colours.

Talking a walk to a store and see it in Bottle? This doesn't cost you anything. It won't be the same, cause usualy paint is different when you spray it or if you see it in bottle. But maybe would guide you in the right direction? -.-

I do have bunch of formulas, but I use wicked. CI is sc-fi for me lol

unless you are using some of the new Createx illustration CMYK colours you arent going to be able to match what your printer is putting out.

my suggestion would be to have the colour on screen and test spray until you get close enough that you are happy.

Looking in your gallery you are certainly not totally new to this, but what you are asking is for a recipe for CI red violet / blue violet. Only Createx can give you the exact recipe, the rest of us can only give you a close approximation.

I dont know what you've been using as a reference but this may be helpful.

You can also contact createx and ask them for a product catalogue, which will have all the colours printed in it.

@JackEb yes that's the chart I printed and my sprayed colours don't look like the printout at all - I didn't really expect it to be exact but it is not close at all. Yes I was hoping for a recipe which is 'close enough'

like i said, you wont get close to your home printer because the CI colours you are using arent true CMYK,

This may be helpful- found it via google so please dont judge me if it doesnt work lol
