projector and usb flash drive

long time since i posted sorry been ill i have a artograph led 1000 projector and when i try to view on it using a usb flash it wont work i have tried 5 usb flash drives and still wont work i have tried to use the usb flashes on another projector and the same thing happens but they they work ok on my mac is it possible to get a virus on a projector and the usb flash drives always worked before on the projector [hope this makes sense] can anybody help ton

Possibly the files on the USB Arent compatible with the projector ?

What is the file extension on the files on the USB (eg: .jpg .bmp .png etc)

Unlikely a virus, more likely you just pulled the USB out of the Mac without ‘stopping’ it or ‘ejecting’it first and it was still active. Lots of people do it and every now and then the files get corrupted because a little power spike fries the files.

Format the USB and it should be good to add the files again

If the files can be accessed on your computer try copying the files to another USB flash, it could also be that your USB stick has a little dust in it, that would stop the projector from being able to read it, corrupt doesn't always mean a virus, it can mean anything that stops devices being able to read data, for example, if the stick isn't inserted all the way in or slightly side ways, on your computer you should be able to find out if there is a fault with the stick, try inserting the the stick into the USB port on your television, if there is a fault it won't play on that either, have you tried a different stick in your projector? Your problem could be any number of things, you just need to go through an elimination process to find out which it is, any new USB stick will usually be automatically set up with a data system such as "FAT 32", whatever system it is you have to be sure your projector is using the same system.

Mac format is different to windows format, it could be a compatibility issue with that, try some pics transferred on a windows based system or format the usb to fat32 if you can on a mac then transfer the pics and try it again.

What he said, my first thought was the usb's are formatted to a mac file system. You can use disk utility to reformat to fat32 and then re-save the files onto it.
Or format from a windows machine
Computers dont have this issue and both machines will read from usb's formatted to either system projectors arent as sophisticated as that.
