Help with connectors

Greg Geilman

Detail Decepticon!
Ok, I received my California airtools compressor, but now need help figuring out the proper connectors I need. The connection at the compressor is female and 1/4" and need 1/8" for the hose.

This from @AndreZA may help

Looks like the right bit to me :) wait until you get more confirmation though just incase i'm having a seniors moment
you can also pick up most of that stuff from your local hardware store.

What brand of hose are you using? The fitting you linked to is NPT, which to my understanding is not the same as 1/8 BSP - which is what an Iwata type hose uses?

So I need 1/8" BSP male to 1/4" BSP male?
It depends. If you have an Iwata hose, it's 1/4 NPT on one end for the compressor, and 1/8 BSP for the airbrush on the other. Other brands may simply be 1/8 BSP on both ends.

Edit: Sorry, I should have read your post thoroughly. Master hoses are 1/8 BSP on both ends. You can get a 1/4 NPT to 1/8 BSP male adapter easily enough, but usually not locally. Try Midwest Airbrush or Spraygunner. Also Coast airbrush. They all have the adapters you need. Midwest is pretty fast on shipping, at least for me.

Midwest Airbrush does not carry them:( I left a message for Spraygunner. Think I may have to order a couple of his hoses. Or just go to Harbor Freight thanks:)

Oh forgot to mention, it also comes with a badger adapter. Or at least mine did, they change a lot

This is why I only use Paasche hoses. I know they are 1/4 NPT on the compressor end, and I use a QD on the other end. Now everything works with everything lol.
Sadly its true... good luck finding the required adapters and whatnot locally. Unless you have a well equipped hobby shop or artist supply store nearby!
