Marissa online course

His arms:thumbsup: do I win something now?:)
Ha ha! Close but no cigar! I was of course referring to this type of sleeve:

- a protective or connecting tube fitting over or enclosing a rod, spindle, or smaller tube.
synonyms: ring · band · collet · sleeve · pipe · flange · rim · rib

But I'm way too polite to say that ABT has something up his flange.

This thread was started to inform and maybe... MAYBE discuss Marissa's online tutorial. It didn't make it past the initial post.

lol
In order to stop Leaky Valve actually blowing a valve, Yes. Marissa is indeed offering an online school.
There really isnt much to discuss as it doesnt start until Sept 15th so nobody knows exactly what to expect.

The initial course is €495 ex tax with additional courses and associated costs to come.

It looks like new a lessons will be released each week, so if you finish your first lesson in half an hour you have to wait a week before venturing onto the next lesson.

Here is the link to the relevant info currently available.

I would 100% vouch for Marissa's course. Everything that Marissa and Carlo do, they do to serve the airbrush community in a positive way and anything they touch gets outstanding reviews and feedback. To be honest they've created their own style of airbrushing, which is extremely useful to any airbrush artist and they teach some phenomenal techniques to achieve the correct tonal values, color mixing on the board etc.
I always encourage people not just to stick with one teacher, but to try everyone's courses because there's ALWAYS more to learn.
I know that if i do Marissa's course there will be new techniques and ways of doing things that i haven't seen before and I think it's important to keep an open mind like this, because it's very easy to stop the learning process when you think you've learnt it all lol

This is why I have been MIA for so long. This course has taken a full year of spare time to create, not only just the content, filming etc, but also learning how to present it, writing quizzes and what technology to use with what technology.

There you have it folks, straight from Mitch's gob.... He's been busily creating a course.

Click on the 'Courses' link at the top of this webpage :)

First of all, thanks for mentioning us here.

To Mitch,

thanks for the nice words, Mitch.

To JackEb

I appreciate that you wanted to give some clarifications here but please allow me to put it straight, with the right information.

There really isnt much to discuss as it doesnt start until Sept 15th so nobody knows exactly what to expect.

Actually, there is an entire page that explains what this course is about and there is a video that gives some hints on how we manage our online courses.

The initial course is €495 ex tax with additional courses and associated costs to come.

What additional and associated courses and costs are you talking?
This is one full course, there are no additional costs, it’s not a smartphone game.
New courses will be just other courses with different subjects, duration and price. Nothing tricky here.
So I don’t know where you have got this info honestly.

It looks like new a lessons will be released each week, so if you finish your first lesson in half an hour you have to wait a week before venturing onto the next lesson.

Sorry, Wrong.

Every week will be released a “Block” of lessons. There will be like around 5 hours of video lessons per week. So it would around 15 hours each student to watch, get started, execute all assignments and do the corrections when needed.

So If you think you can finish 5 hours of lessons in half an hour then you are a time traveler, and not a serious artist because you won’t learn anything that way. It’s not supposed to be a race.

We had a team of students that have tested the course and we adjusted the course pace based on their feedbacks.

So guys, we invite everyone to contact us directly if you want genuine information about our activities. Sometimes things can get weird twists, no one to blame, it’s just the internet

Peace & Love

Carlo

Thanks for the clarification @Carlo - when this post was put up there was only very limited information available hence some of the comments, it's good to get some additional info form you. Looking forward to seeing this stuff out there! :)

Yes, there had been other discussion about the course for a time before that though, as soon as your email about it came out.
