Hey there
found this site for some very useful tips, lots to learn from here and other sources.
Well got myself all setup and have been trying my hand with some Dragon Eggs I make, used to paint these tacks 1 by 1 by hand, but thought why not try airbrushing them......these are the results, not to shabby for my first attempt, will never be as good as most of you on here as my hands are not that steady anymore...Let me know what you think, Thanks20181007_172521.jpg

Have tried the Folkart paint, but was my wifes left overs and was starting to turn, but am looking at getting some newer stuff...also looking at the metallics....will see :)

Very nice Jungle, @Squishy and I like all things Dragon!

Once you get use to the airbrush and it’s capabilities you’ll get some amazing effects :)

Which end of Australia do you call home?
Do you have a website/Facebook page where you sell these?

Hey JackEb
Call Queensland home, little town called Toowoomba.......and sadly no I dont sell these as yet, wanting to get my airbrushing skills a bit better first.....dont know if anybody would buy them anyway

We have a couple of Qland members, I’m in SA, shame, I’d love a pearl blue one !

Have you considered taking some to a weekend market or similar, I’m sure you’d sell some :)

have not tried the pearl paints as yet, but can do blue one like the green or red one for ya??

Welcome Jungle. I’m sure you’ll be up to speed in no time, the airbrush will be good for some FX on the eggs. I like the concept too.

Very nice work Jungle. A lot of us here love anything Dragon.. So we know your in Oz, but where abouts are you, what gear do you have and what paints do you use? We're a nosey lot and like to learn about our new members. It helps us give you advice or help if you get stuck.

Ok then, firstly I am from Toowoomba, QLD, Australia, I have only bought a cheap airbrush from my local auto store, which came with 0.2, 0.35 and 0.5 needles, got me a small 2.0 hp compressor (larger tank) and the paint I use is water based Acrylic, new source located at my local Bunnings for a fraction of the price they sell paint for for airbrushing as I use large lots, so need large lots, pay only $7.50 aud for 500ml in any color I want

Love the eggs @Jungle. One thing to check with the cheap paint, is it lightfast? If not it will probably fade. Just a thought.
it is not cheap paint and it is light fast as it is the same stuff you would use to paint inside your house, so fading will never be an issue, and with the clear coat over it, will hold its colors for years to come, I have already done a few for my wife many yrs ago, these are those.eggs.jpg
