Hi everyone I'm in Canada and looking for a small quiet compressor. I live in a wood frame condo building and need something that will not disturb the neighbours or my wife in the next room. I expect that I will will use this compressor a maximum of a couple hours per week.

I would appreciate your suggestions.

It will depend on what you are spraying and with
Eg. Textile work requires a high volume of air than painting art work. A micron Airbrush won’t require a great deal of air volume.

We also appreciate when newcomers take time to introduce themselves with some details

Hi all, I live in Canada and have been interested in airbrushing for close to 40 years and have dabled a few time always with a budget brush with which I struggled with clogging, tip dry and poor technique.

I have always wanted a better brush and just purchased a nice iwata HP-CS. Prior I had a couple of single action and a dual action external mix brushes. My last setup was with co2 tank rather than compressor as it was silent but the cold propellant would cause some freeze up of water based paint.

I'm primarily looking to start with canvas painting to practice technique and then work on plastic models.

Somthing among these lines would be worth looking at. This is pretty much what I started with, they’re pretty quiet, the only downside is that with a small tank they will need to fill more often. But to a degree the bigger they are, the louder they are, until you start increasing budget.

I think you forgot the link lol

What is your budget? I got the Iwata power jet lite, it is silent and has auto/off when you are not spraying but is pricy but worth the money.

Still I use a big 50L compressor and I made a sound proof box to reduce noise, it worked nicely and it holds the air a lot before it turns on.
