Hi, I am Syed. By profession I am an academician/researcher and work at ULL. I build models, mainly aircrafts in 1/48 scale. I heard about this forum and felt like joining it. Thanks. I am attaching a few photos of my work. I own an unbranded Chinese airbrush, an Iwata HP-CS and in process of acquiring a GSI Creos Platinum 0.2 mm.

Hello from Texas. Nice work. I love Eclipse. You will have to let us know what you think of the GSI Creos when you get it
Hi. It seems you own a PS-267. What’s your take on this airbrush?

I initially ordered (from spraygunner.com) a Krome Jet but returned it because of its rough finishing on the inside of the paint cup and difficult cleaning. I have ordered the PS-267 after going through reviews which were generally positive. I sure will share my experience once I received the PS-267.

Welcome aboard. Tons of great people and info here.
That’s some great looking work you posted. I’d be excited to hear about your GSI. I was looking at the ps-770 from spray gunner but wasn’t able to get one last week before they sold out

Thanks. Yes, I am sure I am going to learn a great deal on airbrushing on this forum. I also considered the PS-770 but 0.18 mm needle is kind of intimidating to me. Besides I am not an illustrator or artist so I think I will do alright with PS-267. In-fact now that I am using airbrush for almost a year and experimented with different conditions and paints, even 0.3 seems to get the job done adequately. For instance the free hand camo on this F-4 was done using my HP-CS.

Welcome to the forum from China! I own a PS-270 (the 0.2 mm platinum) since around 3 months and am very happy with it. Although I could use a smaller needle for more detail work, I decided against the PS-770 because a) I use large canvases to work on, b) I use water-based acrylics as paint. There is little tip dry with the 0.2mm, whereas a 0.18mm may clog all the time.

I am happy with the PS-267. It is very similar in size and weight as the Eclipse HP-CS and good quality. For 80 dollars with free shipping from Spraygunner it’s hard to beat. If I had to choose one airbrush it would be the Eclipse. But it’s fun to try different brushes.

Glad to hear that. I typed wrongly, I ordered PS-270. Can’t wait to try that out.

Thanks for your welcome. Yes, I ordered the PS-270. I think I am going to like it.

Thanks for the appreciation. I am definitely going to enjoy this forum and learn from the able members.

Welcome to the forum, Nice models, nice detailing on them. You got a good all round AB with the Hp-cs and the 270 will be another good addition to the arsenal.
