Procon platinum .2

Hey guys,
I just bought a Mr Hobby .2 platinum procon brush. Cost me about 115$.

Let me start by saying...this thing is awesome! For the price, I couldn't have expected anything close to this quality.
Great atomization, quality feel to the trigger and airspring. (Nice and soft).
The needle stop feels better than an Iwata one, and the MAC valve works fantastically.
The balance on this brush is 100 as well. It is bigger than what I'm used to holding, but is completely balanced and comfortable.
When spraying, the brush just beckons to be used up close, and again, that atomization is superb, under all pressures, low to high.

I recommend these brushes to all painters, old and new. I'd never buy all the brushes I have if I knew these were this good, and this affordable.

Buy Mr. Hobby!

Yep. One of two best values on the market.
Heres basically what you get;
HP-b+ nozzle and air cap
removable head, which accepts micron,770, and chinese knockoff heads.
Mac valve
needle stop w/ oring
The rest rest is a mix of eclipse and hp parts.
I found it convenient to swap the needle seal in mine for an hp-b+ seal, so i can use all 1.2mm needles in leu of the 1.4 it comes with . Which i then swapped for a dura-glide oring.
Now I use an SN1 needle made for an Hp-b+ when i use the original head and nozzle and a micron type when using the 770 head.

Anyhow main thing id recommend is swapping the needle seal to something to take a 1.2 shaft and and going to chinese or hp-b+ needles when you need to change the needle, it then becomes most versatile in the future.

Yeh man, great brush. I wish it had smaller cup variant though.

Yeah, I agree, I think they should put out smaller cup alternatives, and perhaps if they continue to grow they can buy the machines, or rent them from Iwata or something like that so they can produce them. The more versions they make available the greater their costs of manufacturing become so it's probably a balancing act. Hopefully they do something about it though.

Could you perhaps take pictures of a step by step sort of thing for converting to micron, and could you also mention a way to get the 770 nozzle set up without buying the brush?
Did you go through spray Gunner or another source?

Update: I got the .3 in, and it's sprays very nicely, although I must say the .2 feels nicer. The threads we're very rough on the .3, the trigger spring isn't as smooth, but overall still very happy with the brush. After lube, the threads are smoother, but the trigger scrapes the side of the the airbrush where the cutout is if I don't pull back perfectly straight. Any ideas on fixing this, or should I just leave well enough alone?
