Hi airbrush friends,

I wondered if someone would be interested to sell some of his/his Classrooms in Box by Dru Blair, such as the Skin Texture one.

Best wishes
Thomas

I think you’ll find it’s not possible. when you purchase you provide a gmail account for access to his private video channel

After messaging Dru’s school they have confirmed the videos are not transferable. Without the videos you won’t learn much

Sure, they say that the videos are not transferrable and if it is an online access to streamed videos then it woul be more complicated to share access.

Many thanks for evaliating the possibility.

I do not mind spending some money on courses such as Mitch's classrooms at reasonable rates but spending 230 bucks on e.g. just the skin class does really thrill me.

Many thanks.

Here is my problem as well...

I calculate how much I can get for my money. I was buying airbrush dvd-s for 10-20 bucks, so I would automatically calculate 230 to 15 dvd-s...

And I know dru's class works. I did see results of that on this forum. But, I still need bunch of equipment, not to mention if you play with airbrushing, there is always something you need. So, 230 bucks for ''one dvd'' feels like throwing money out of the window ''in my case'' !

I am cheap , so I can get for 230 bucks:
- 1 dru's class / ''dvd''
-15 other dvd's from other artists
- one good spray gun
- 2 mini spray guns
- bunch of colors - 33 if I set price for one at 7 bucks
- 2 new eclipse bcs which I would love (I hate changing colors...I am lazy as f***)
- New Iwata airbrush(quite good one for that money)
- Put that money in to piggy bank for micron (that's half money for a micron)
- Put that money in to piggy bank for new cameo 4...
- Silent compressor for working at low psi at night

For me it's simple math. To expensive while I still need bunch of stuff, but I know it's usefull. But, still to expensive for me :)

for god sake.... you can get one dvd for 1 buck....

The dowel is to create textures.
I’m cheap also, but I’ve spent over $4000 on classes so far. Can’t say I regret spending the money on any of the classes I’ve taken. I can surely see the value in it.

Would any of our experienced colleagues advice, which of the SBS would it fact come close to Dru Blairs tutorials?

many of our members have studied with Dru and many of those same members have created many excellent SBS in the SBS/WIP section of the forum.

I suggest you make a coffee, grab some popcorn and start investigating some of the excellent instructions provided within the boundary of the forum

To add to this. Once I took one of Dru Blair’s classes, I realized that most of what he was teaching was already on the forum. The classes I took of his did bring it all together though.
The bits and pieces are scattered throughout posts here.

Also, what does Dru mean by the "dowel method " in the skin class. Does it refer to using a woodel dowel as stencil?
Let me help you with this a little. Maybe you get lucky...

What exactly are you doing when you are using so called "dowel method ". Anybody willing to explain this so OP will understand what kinda process is used and what you do when you are using that process?

A sharpened dowel is used to remove paint from Yupo or Synthetic Paper. It is to create abrupt textures and clean up edges of overspray to sharpen edges where required.

I am learning A LOT from Mitch on https://learntoairbrush.vhx.tv/. I think its well worth the $6.00/month.
Now we are talking. This is a price reasonable for me. It's a price of a coffee. Actually three :D

This argument can go in many ways, like for example what you get when you pay for multi day teaching , like for example place for sleep and food. And price attached to it.

But hard reality, is for many people this is to much. All over the world there are different wages, so for someone multi day teaching can be very very expensive... Even mission impossible. We have countries on the world where they get like few bucks per a day when they have a job...
Then we have noobs, where price for some of this stuff is like Sc-fi. We have Disability Support Pension, previously known as the Invalid Pension people, which gets low pension and they can hardly survive from month to next month. And so on...

I remembered when I joined to this forum and was checking prices....I was like: are they nuts?! -.-
Let's be realistic. In the same day, I had bunch of books, dvd's and stuff, but I didn't pay for it.... Not at those prices...

Don't judge. I am sure you have software or movie or one song, or picture, or stencil on your pc, which is illegal. Probably you even don't know for all the stuff you have on your comp.

The biggest issue here is: Is knowledge for elites?

Thx to this forum and many members and also you tube channels of those members not. But, if those guys wouldn't do what they are doing, airbrushing would be ''elite sport''. Speaking of those guys, sometimes I wish we would have a list of those channels in separate thread. This would be great for people looking to learn.

@JackEb you can delete this post if I went a little overboard. I know ''legal or illegal'' stuff can be little sensitive topic for some forums. I won't be butthurt :D
