Wicked vs Autoair fight - convince me to use Autoair

I've used reduced Wicked a WHOLE lot longer than 24-48 hours. The TDS on 4012 says mixed into paint it has no pot life.
However:
Pot-Life & Storage
After adding 4012, there is no pot life. However, the alcohol in 4012 flashes water from paint, so if left open paint will thicken due to accelerated evaporation.
Store paint in an air tight bottle after adding 4012. Keep in a cool dry box or cabinet away from sunlight and direct light. As bottles do allow for some exchange of air, evaporation may still occur over a prolonged storage period.

So if you leave the top off the paint it will dry out.. who woulda thought that?

If you bothered to read the last sentence, the evaporation will still occur, albeit a bit slower, even in a closed bottle, as they are not airtight.
I thought adding the entire createx statement rather than half of it worthwhile so that when newbies add 4012 to their new bottle of paint they dont then wonder why 12mths down the track, the contents have thickened.

And while I'm painting my Illustration bottles don't get closed....

Yeah, I'm sure that's what you were doing. Also don't forget:

Health & Safety: Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after use. Do not ingest.

This is in case a newb tries to use their 4012 on breakfast cereal.

o_ODid you take your grumpy pills this morning ??

and yes, I changed your text on your last sentence, white text on the light background doesn't show up !

Putting reducer into the bottle is not a good idea. It will set off and wreck the whole bottle. Only reduce what you intend on using. Reduced paint is only good for 24-48 hrs.
While I sit in the ‘don’t reduce more than you intend to use in a few days’ camp, Does your statement come from recent experience or with the older reducers? The updated TDS would suggest its no longer an issue

EDIT:
never mind Tony, I've just checked the TDS for Illustration and found this.
Pot-Life & Storage Illustration Colors do not have a pot life. Store air-tight in a cool, dry environment away from direct light. Long term storage of paint after adding 4012 or 4020 not recommended. Best stored in temperatures between 40 – 80 degrees F. Do not keep Illustration Colors for long term storage after adding 4012 or 4020.
The same statement is in the 'Wicked' TDS as well, no wonder we are all confused.

I've emailed Createx for clarification before this descends into something other than a difference of opinion. lol

My statement was made with research and personal experience. I have used reduced paint after 48 hrs and it sprayed like crap...even after reducing a little further. It did not adhere as well either. Had issues with masking and at clear coat time. The longest i will keep the paint now is 24 hrs...and, that would also be closed container.

My conclusion is: if your Wicked is thicker than AA, there is a big chance that you have some reducer (or other stuff) in a paint container or the paint was storage to long.

I feel like this thread has some issues :D

So, just in case :
thick
[ thik ]
adjective, thick·er, thick·est.
having relatively great extent from one surface or side to the opposite; not thin: a thick slice.
measured, as specified, between opposite surfaces, from top to bottom, or in a direction perpendicular to that of the length and breadth; (of a solid having three general dimensions) measured across its smallest dimension: a board one inch thick.
composed of or containing objects, particles, etc., close together; dense: a thick fog; a thick forest.

thin
[ thin ]
adjective, thin·ner, thin·nest.
having relatively little extent from one surface or side to the opposite; not thick: thin ice.
of small cross section in comparison with the length; slender: a thin wire.
having little flesh; spare; lean:

Soooooo, my wicked red is very thick. It looks like a pudding. And looks like it needs more reducer then the rest of my colors. Actually it looks thicker then my white. I was assuming AA is thinner then my wicked red, so my wicked red would be thicker then AA if my assumptions would be correct.

Official response from Createx:
Createx Wicked Colors and Illustration Colors do no have a reaction-initiating agents, i.e. are not set up with a catalytic reaction after mixing; hence, no pot-life. Even though there is not a catalytic reaction after adding 4011 or 4012 Reducers to Createx paints, long-term storage of reduced paints is not advised as the reducer promotes evaporation loss after time as well as promotes curing of the resin each time its exposed to freash air, which can cause paints to increase in viscosity or otherwise not spray well. The storage time after which the sprayability of Createx paints is affected is undetermined as its not a chemically-set reaction and environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, frequency of exposure to direct light and fresh air have an effect on how long the paint will store in good condition.
