Double Actioner
I’ve been bitten by the bug.
Been looking at the Iwata CM-Cv2 but not a massive fan of the cup
But been looking at Olympos MP-200C 0.23
Never owned and Olympos will Iwata needles fit if I need replacements. Also noticed you can buy Teflon needle seals easy to change
Advise please guys

Haha, around here we call it AAD (Airbrush Aquisition Disorder) so welcome to the club lol

if you don’t like the C cup then maybe look at the B or even the SB.

When I started everyone seemed to recommend the SB and to me it looked as if it would be cumbersome to use so I held off. Long story short, I now own 2 x CM-SB and I wish I'd made the jump sooner, I would have saved some $$. I've seen some report that they feel its awkward to use because the balance of the cup being on the side. I really don't notice any difference between it and my CM-B. Maybe if I was using a their largest cup for an extended time I might notice but most of the time I use their two smallest cups (the one that is supplied and the next size up - I'm to lazy to go check the capacity !)
If you are thinking about doing any sort of detail in the future then this is what I would recommend. I use Createx Illustration and it sprays at a much lower PSI than my CM-B so I can get in closer with less spidering.

I won 2 Olympos brushes a few years back and I tested them against my CM-B & CM-SB, (same psi, same bottle of paint) The Olympos now gather dust in my drawer. I could get much finer lines with my Iwata than with the Olympos.
@DaveG can advise on whether the Olympos accepts the Iwata needles and he also supplies Teflon seals

Good luck deciding which way to go . . . that's why we started AAD.. we got to try them all for ourselves :)

Cheers for that I do have a CM-B just want a 0.23 I understand I probably won’t see a massive difference between the 2
I just thought the CM-C cup was a bit odd the older style
I fired a PM over to Dave and he was a great help.

Thanks yes i know when i said i prefer a smaller brush I ment in terms of length hence why I didn’t want to go to the CM-C Plus v2.

I agree, the cup on the C is stupid. They should ditch it and only offer it with the one from the C+ for those that don't want/need the mac valve.

This is the reason I fancy the Olympos but Dave did say if you breath on the needle it will bend.

Cheers for that got me thinking do I buy the Olympos which is about £290 delivered to me in the U.K.
But if I’m needing a new needle at some time.I will have to buy Iwata head set and needle which is about £175
Or go for the CM-C
Are Olympos any better than the CM’s

I've experienced the same. I replaced my HP-100SB needle and nozzle with Iwata HP-B parts and it it an amazing machine now.
try the nozzle cap from the HP-B too - smaller opening than the 100SB's, which will allow for lower air pressure, and sharper line edges.

Well looks like I’ve made my mind up.Much as i fancy trying the Olympos.
Going to go for an CM-SB and change it to a 0.23 set up.As I have the CM-B or put the 0.23 set up in the B.
Then order a couple of soft springs
