Createx Bloodline questions

Is there any ready-to-go recipe how to obtain Bloodline colors from traditional CI palette?
Is the Bloodline series more opaque than traditional CI?

Tim Gore made custom mixture of colors .They all can be mixed using the CI or wicked colors but using Tim line of bloodline or life line makes it easier.

thanks Micron, it's pretty obvious:). I'm looking for mixing ratios. How about opaqueness, is the Bloodline noticeably more opaque than CI?

It’s transparent, and I’m not sure you would achieve the same saturation as the bloodline as they have some very hot colours, close yes, the same, I’m not sure

I should ask: if these are separate pigments or just mixtures?

yes, they are different colors, not a mix of existing CI colors remixed... they are the same sort of base, and work flawlessly with the CI - they are an extension of the color palette

The only one that can give you exact ratios of CI to use are Createx... good luck with that.

Certainly not the liveline. There is a lot of white in most colors.
What makes it semi-transparent. more opaque
Look at the difference between the bottom of the bottle and the top.

The lifeline are opaque and the bloodline are transparent (at least that’s my understanding) and while we’re here - the Greys are opaque and the colour wheel are transparent except the white, happy to be put right if I’m wrong

Excepted from.

Interesting. I just grabbed a set of lifeline. According to createx lifeline is transparent with a heavy pigment load. Now unless they are using a mixing white it would be hard to say how transparent. Bloodline is tertiary and the blues are semi opaque at least. Along with the other aforementioned.

Ironically i just ordered the set of lifeline because curiosity was getting too me. Like i dont have 2 thousand dollars of createx products laying around even after my vleanout giveaway spree last month. Although in defense, I actually get paid to paint. So none will truly be wasted. Might take a long time to get through them if i dont love the color. I burnt through a couple color wheel sets pretty fast recently.. so heres to hoping i can get back at it hard.

Could possibly they be using zinc? Of course unlike regular artist paints Createx wont give us pigment information... So we have their word and testing it ourselves. Way too little info on the lifeline set out there.

I would have to double check then! Will test it later today,

I think mine will arrive tomorrow. Ill probably lay some stripes and spray over to observe for color shifts. It is certainly not well documented on the lifeline series at all. Actually i wasnt able to find any videos or instructional information on them. The bloodline is for certain just tertiary mixes. A few tests would be a good communitey service. Let me know what you come up with and ill let you know what I find. Not everyone can afford to just buy a set to maybe or maybe not be able to use them. Im pretty poor myself but paint is one expense my wife wont even blink at.
Since reading up on how refractive index works with binders and such It would be almost a sure bet the binder or pigments would have to be modified a little if they are not a tertiary mix.

I tried one of the colours as that’s all I could find as I don’t use them, it says transparent on the bottle, but I managed to spray it on black and My result was not transparent, I would take a guess at a semi opaque (at least)

That would have been my expectation. To be fair none of them are truly transparent as say a golden transparent paint. and certainly not as transparent as com art transparent range (com art is darn near candy clear in their transparents) Ill find a use for them either way. Id expect id use them more than the bloodline at least. Which ochre pink and red are the ones I use from that line the most.

The lifeline are still the bloodline range, so I guess they are designed more for prosthetics? Who knows!
