Probably the weirdest question about nozzle this year -.-

Ok, here we go

Can you destroy nozzle of the airbrush with to much pressure? :whistling:

Let me explain, I have 2 hoses and 2 regulators. Each hose has his own regulator so I don't adjust pressure all the time. And when I clean my airbrush, if I am lazy I hook my eclipse to the hose which has regulator on 60 psi, I spray some cleaner on that pressure and I am more or less good to go.

But, cause I was wondering, and I am not ashamed to ask questions right @SiRoxx :D I will ask the question.

Can you destroy nozzle on micron if you put micron on 60psi? I am really just curious and I doubt anybody asked this question. There is probably bunch of reasons why nobody asked or think about 60 psi on micron for cleaning, but I was drinking my coffee and I got that moment: what would happen if I would do that

There was a lot of talk about fragile nozzles, but my brains can't understand how fragile this can be. So, do you destroy nozzle with 60 psi or not? :)

on a .35 eclipse, the actual nozzle is basically the same as a Micron - it is a small nozzle mounted in a larger brass carrier...
Well I asked so I don't feel like I am walking on egg shells. Still wanna find on forum where you guys put info about spare parts. Needle is for p770, and I know nozzle from one of those procon is good as well.II think from the same brush. I am thinking of having spares at home if I destroy something cause I am new at this. I would guess it's quite possible I can do same stupidity.

After checking with @DaveG I bought the head system for the PS770 and the needle and I can say I think it actually sprays better then the Micron head system and at half the price. But the PS770 is .18 which is what I had set up on my micron anyway even thou I have the CM-C+ which came with the .23

The issue here is I am ordering stuff from UK so It would be wise if I buy spares in advance. Less shipping cost. On aircraft I can get spares from 770 and 771. I would guess this is the same, cause the price is the same, probably it's just different finish. I know DaveG talked about 771 somewhere, but at that time I didn't pay to much attention. But spares for 770 are more then half the cost of micron.

what I need from here?

The PS770 and PS771 are the same brush, different finishes. The PS770, (which is being phased out,) has a satin finish on all exposed parts. The PS771, which is taking its place, has a bright chrome finish. Needles, Nozzles, etc are the same between the two.

For best results - if you are changing the nozzle to Procon, you may also want the nozzle cap. There is a difference in exit hole size, and keeping the brand(s) together when swapping parts will net best results.
So nozzle, needle and nozzle cap is what I need for spares right? Asking one more time just in case if I confused something.

Yes I keep forgetting about the nozzle cap .
No problem. Still thinking about what to do with spares. I need some spares for my eclipse also so I could go all in this time, or wait some time and make another purchase. It's weird how you always find something which you ''need'' with this airbrushing.

When I joined this forum I thought I'm gonna buy airbrush ,some paint and off we go. Suuuuuuuuure... :whistling:

Absolutely Bro! You know I’ll always ask the question rather than risk destroying something. I don’t know the answer to this either, so it’s cool to have a thread on the subject.

I believe it’s the same brush, but a different finish. I don’t know 100%, but I think that’s the case.
