sometimes when I unscrew the complete head system from my airbrush it goes quite hard. Looks like it get stucked to the I-580-2 . If I put drop of reducer in my airbrush it goes easier. The same goes for the time when I wanna put complete head system on my airbrush. Without a drop of reducer it goes quite hard. Now here is my question.

Is this normal? Can i destroy I-580-2 if I try to unscrew when head system doesn't wanna unscrew easy? I am also wondering, I-580-2 is in my airbrush not on my head system. How do you replace I-580-2 if there is a need one day?

So you’re concerned about the rubber O-ring?

They are likely available separately, it may have been exposed to restorer or similar that has made it ‘sticky’ ?

Yes, I am concerned about O-ring :D

I suspect it's a paint. I don't use restorer. Only paint, reducer and ''Windex'' without ammonia.

I also don't get it how you put O-ring in to the airbrush if needed.

Reducer? like 4011, or 4012? Don't put that on your O-rings. The alcohol in them can dry the ring out. You can put a small amount of petroleum jelly (vasaline) on the O-ring or on the post of the head base that fits through the o-ring, to ease installation and removal.

thanks DaveG. No reducer it is then.

I have had the same for a little while Mate. I got something on it that made it a bit sticky. I do as Dave has said and just lube it a little. It’s worked fine like that for a while.

thx buddy for your input. Yea, it was weird. I don't wanna destroy something :D

Is spraying cleaner enough? I take mine off often. That is what I like about it is you can get to the nozzle without taking off the nozzle.

Not had any issues with it yet to take it off. Probably will now I've said that :) I leave it alone unless there's a problem. I see your point though about getting to the nozzle. I will remember that for future .

Taking out the o ring is easy with either a pair of decent tweezers or a old needle bent into a hook.
I was amazed at the excremente that built up around it! just be aware that removing it usually kills it, so have some spares ready!
