Thank you
I checked my stash - you can use the needle from an Iwata HP-C+ as a substitute for the Creos needle. They are the same part, as far as I can tell.

Just checked. The HP-C+ needle I found was .3 not .2
So no joy. Guess I’ll wait for Mr Hobby to email back or Spraygunner to restock.
I have the Sharpenair which works great on my HP-CS needles, but doesn’t do as well on the PS-270 needle for some reason. I also emailed Sharpenair, but no answer there either.

Here is the response from Spraygunner

“I think the whole country is waiting on a shipment of these needles! We can't find any available right now and do not have an ETA for these to arrive. Manufacturing out of Japan has been off most of this year. Please subscribe to notifications and you will get an email saying when they arrive back in stock.

Kind Regards

I also heard back from Sharpenair with some tips that helped.

While described as a different size (.2 vs. .3), the needle from the HP-C, C+, or CS are workable solutions for use in the PS270. They are the same diameter, and use a very similar taper. They vary just a small amount towards the very tip - yet function quit well in use. You can also readjust the packing on the 270 to take the smaller diameter 1.2mm .2mm Iwata needle from the HP, or HP+ series of brushes. You would need to replace the packing seal when going back to an OEM 1.4mm .2 or .3 needle in the Creos...

That’s great info DaveG! Thanks for sharing.
If it comes down to it, I will try out one of the Iwatas. For now the Sharpenair has got me back in business. The tip still has a tiny bend, but it’s spraying fine.
Hope it helps QB!
