sup guys, was wondering if anyone could help me find a good and cheap but not to cheap airbrush to start with...
i keep hearing the talon would be good for a newbie and good price, but not sure what others thing of it, please give me some feedbacks guys.. thanks..

grab a badger,,great customer service from what i hear.. or another iwata eclipse. both great , all depends on what your willing to spend.. but start with something descent

Don't have any experience with the talon. The Badger Patriot is right around the same price range.
The amount you are looking to spend will determine your decision.
Best bang for the buck of any brush I own is the Badger Krome.

Yea, I been having really bad luck with really cheap stuff , I know for some works fine but for me they all sux lol, I'm just talking in general not just airbrushes..

I own a Talon and I find it works well, but it's the only AB I have had so I have nothing to compare it to :)

Apart from the usual beginner troubles like paint too thick, or air leaking around the tip after changing to a smaller tip, needed to put some wax on thread (didn't know :)) I feel it is working like it should, its just the artist that's not :)

a paasche talon is a wonderful gun,to start with!!!is very reliable, spare parts are cheap and available, also is very responsive, i can give you my word that is a great airbrush to start!!!

besides in my opinion is one of the most versatile guns around!!!

i´ll be posting in the next days,or this weekend my experience with it and some modifications around!!!

hope this helps!!!

I paid around 113$ a year and a half ago from TCPGlobal, it came with 2 tip sizes #2 and #3 (.38 and .66).

Now for siphon or gravity feed, what I have learned from this forum is that siphon fed airbrushes need to operate at higher pressure and is more of a hassle when you want to do just small amounts of paint. I think that for those reasons they are not the best for detail work.

Maybe someone with more experience can confirm this, or say I'm way out in left field :)

indeed white knight has nail it,if you want detail, you need the gravity fed gun,if you want to cover great areas the siphon is the best.

now is very responsive even more than an infinity, though it can be even better,is not always,it lacks some consistensy, when compare to the german gun!!!but the infinity is a presision airbrush, and the talon as it is,is a workhorse!!!

Nice,so far I'm looking into the talon and maybe the eclipse but not sure yet cuz they both have way different prices..

I bought a paasche talon on impulse with a knock off kustom micron for 50$ with shipping. Don't really know why but i did, recieving it tomorrow yyeeey

chicago airbrush supply and west coast airbrush!!!this sites do have discount prices and also they have warrantees.i recommend to go to specialized airbrush sites since as i had said they have costumer support and they do warrantees!!!other sites i would not recommend, besides prices are great!!!

hope this helps!!!
