Kidokey, I call south Florida, US home.
How I started my journey with airbrush is probably..different.
A person stated to me that I can't airbrush. As it happens..I had no clue what was an airbrush, but I figured that in today's world, Internet is full of info and what I "can't" do..nothing will stop me from learning. So here I am.
I stumbled upon few airbrushtutor's videos on YouTube and oh boy was I impressed, absolutely amazing work!
At first I bought cheap airbrush from eBay (how else, airbrush + compressor under $40). Pretty quickly I noticed that regardless that the tiny Master compressor was somewhat working, the airbrush itself was..not very good.
That's how I ended up doing a bit more research and buying iwata revolution hp-cr, which I've been very happy with. Compressor though will need an upgrade.
My background is in oil- and acrylic paintings. Controlling airbrush takes quite a bit work, stencils I haven't tried yet.
Paints that I use currently are createx opaques, golden transparents (acrylics), some 'airbrush tattoo ink' and some textile colors (which for my compressor isn't strong enough for).
Aim is to learn as much as possible, and hopefully in the future airbrush cars and bikes, wildlife art.
Thank you for reading, I know my introduction is tad on the longer side..
