Best Paints for wetsanding?

Hey guys!

I'm a little new to airbrushing and recently wet-sanded some water-based acrylic paint (I was prepared for what happened) and a lot of the paint was coming off and felt a little slimy at first. The paint had cured for a week, and this was mostly done as an experiment to see if the paint would or wouldn't fall apart. While it didn't all go to hell a lot of it did fade away very easily with finger pressure. So my question is this: What kind of paints are the best paints for applying to ABS plastic or general plastics and is also good for wetsanding?

Thanks!

You normally don't wetsand the paint, you wetsand the primer and clear coat, but unless a bug lands in your paint coats, or something needs to be fixed, the paint coats aren't sanded.

Yep I have to agree with Brianpaints on this one,why do you need to wetsand paints?.I prep the surface ie. sand and de-grease then prime..sand smooth with 1000-1200 apply base coat and airbrush then clear and sand /polish.

The manufacturers have guides on suitability of their product. Often a plasticiser is added to the paint to improve felexability as well. Yes, I'm also curious about why you are specifically wet sanding for what looks like the start of the refinish process.

I have to admit, I too was a little confused why you are wet sanding paint? If your asking as far as a (primer) basecoat paint that can be sanded and is durable? Then you need to go with Auto Air Autoborn sealers. They dont require adhesion promote either. You can use it...but it sticks pretty good on plastic for me.
