Dont reinforce that after I have just bought the Eclipse for a considerable amout more!! :(
I thought that if i intend to pursue alternative uses for the brush, the eclipse was more versatile.???

hahahaha, ooops - you did just fine buying an Eclipse. The Eclipse is absolutely a work horse, very versatile, and robust brush. One thing you are going to find, is that there are quite a few brushes out there that will accomplish a task :p

No worries, youve definitely not gone wrong. As dave said a lot of brushes can do the task... especially if its just laying down a coat of varnish ( which can easily be done with $15 equipment that gets thrown away every ten uses.
The brush youve gotten will cover that and sooooooooo many more uses and do it forever.
Theres numerous cleaning threads here, and i believe even a sticky in the beginners questions forum...
Have a search on the forum. Dont sweat all the little differences in how everyone does it though, you'll soon develop your own particular methods and what is comfortable for you.

Many thanks for the vote of confidence Robbyrockett2
Will check out the cleaning threads and especially the beginners questions forum,
I am aware it's all about experience, but its quite daunting when you are completely new to it.
