Hi all I have 4 airbrushes. The problem I have is it sprats OK then all of a sudden no paint comes out but there is paint in it then it start to bubble up so any ideas I have sat and clean them over and over
Hi how do you how reducer to put in say for example 10 drops pink so how much reducer you put inIf I am reading right, it sounds like you can start out spraying fine, and then it stops, and you get bubbles in the cup. This would indicate a condition called "dry tip". Paint will start to dry on the tip of the needle as you are spraying, causing a small blob to form. This will in turn start to block the airflow coming out the front of the brush, causing the air to be forced back into the paint stream, causing bubbles in the cup... Most common cause is paint reduction, or lack there of . Try reducing your paint a little more, or upping your air pressure a little.
If it is indeed tip dry then you’ll also need to ‘pick’ or clean the tip regularly, it’s the nature of the beast with waterborne paints. You can certainly minimise it, as Dave has suggested, by reducing more or upping the psi.Hi how do you how reducer to put in say for example 10 drops pink so how much reducer you put in
Unfortunately there’s no formula to know how much Reducer to add. If you know the brush is clean, water runs through it well, then the paint is too thick and will need more reducer. Add reducer slowly until you can paint a smooth line that isn’t all broken up by starts and stops. It can be frustrating, but nobody can tell you exactly. Depending on the paint or even the colour, I will reduce anywhere from 1 drop of paint to 2 drops of reducer, all the way to 1 paint & 10 reducer.Hi how do you how reducer to put in say for example 10 drops pink so how much reducer you put in
First off what paint brand are you using?Hi how do you how reducer to put in say for example 10 drops pink so how much reducer you put in
Hi pal that was only for example I use createx and trident dna I do have a air compressor it has two gauges thanks for all that pal merry XmasFirst off what paint brand are you using?
Next why so much paint in the cup?
1 drop paint to 3 drops reducer is almost a standard rule of thumb. The Neo is .35 which means you may have to reduce the paint depending on what paint your are using. Com-Art you more then likey would not have to reduce unless it is white even then not too much to get good flow @35 PSI The the thinker the paint the lower the pressure the more you will get tip dry.
Wicker , CI you want to reduce some
But as with any help we need all the facts so paint being used. PSI your shooting at, If your using a stdio compress it might say you have 45 PSI with air off but once you hit the air on it may drop to 15 PSI. So as you can see the more you tell us the more and better help you will get.
That is still a personal choice being it would depend on it you have a painting jig set up for your lures or if you laying them on a table top.Just wondering I have neo-cn airbrush what they like as I paint lures and squid jigs would a siphon one be better
You just need to gently move the needle forward until it stops snug against the nozzle. Don’t push it hard or the nozzle will be damaged. Just gently pressure with a little twist until it stops.Hi pal a silly question need when put back how far does the have to be out
