I have only played with the Airbrush for around 10 min's and already found it to be a major up grade to what I already own. In fact I may never pick another airbrush up again.I don't use the air filter as I have one on my compressor and a second one at my regulator. The new trigger shape is so much better. The above airbrush is V2 and advice is needed or a answer to a question.

Question is are these fitted with a soft spring as a standard ?? I only ask as it feels much softer than my badger 20/20.

if I need to change the spring is it a easy upgrade to do ?

I've looked for a "Golden Iwata cup" and sadly I'm too late as there are all sold out in the foxy store. I would really to custom my handle where can I buy them from

another upgrade in my studio is the easel light only one word to describe it "Amazing". I'm so lucky my wife even bought me another sharpenair for some reason that I don't know why. Yep I have two sharpenairs now

Standard.
Can't say for 20/20 for the reason of not having one.

I install soft springs from Foxy in all detail airbrushes.

I'd ask @DaveG for both custom handle and the triggers. He'd supply you with those, I'm pretty sure.

I'm glad for your amazing easel and not less amazing wife!:) Not many wives buy 2nd sharpener for their husbands!;)
 
The CM V2 trigger wont fit the eclipse but like Vladimir said Dave or Robby can hook you up with an even better trigger for either the micron or the eclipse
Foxy may already have fitted the soft spring to your micron and I would check with them before you buy one and @AndreZA has even softer spring but I am not sure if he still sells them
 
Very nice pressie indeed James, springs are simple to do. Enjoy your micron, its a great piece of kit. Time to start painting then.

Congrats James. That is a fine looking brush indeed! Look after her and she’ll look after you. Be found a real good flush to be a good way to clean, that way I hardly ever need to remove the head assembled to clean. I will do so every so often for a deep clean, but I’ve had no blockage issue this way. And definitely avoid removing the actual nozzle for as long as you can. They’re sealed from the factory so best avoid separating. It can be done and from watching an Iwata Technician, it’s not hard. But leave it as long as you can.

My favorite kind of Santa gift:thumbsup: If you are in the UK and interested in having anything plated, I would recommend trying to look up Rob Mitchell. Man does some righteous work!

OK, I should have had more coffee before posting - The trigger spring is standard Iwata, and is the same spring they use in just about every brush they produce. There are quite a few softer spring alternatives readily available, if you should so choose. Completely different set up than a Badger brush... the spring in the Iwata is much longer, with more options - the Badger spring very short, and very stiff. I have modded my Badgers to take a different spring, which really helps to alter trigger feel - I can show you picts if interested.

The Micron uses a different trigger base set up than an Eclipse, and the triggers are not interchangeable. The Micron has a cross pin that fits into notches in the brush body, the Eclipse has an attached dongle that fits down through an O-ring in the brush body. I have made several replacement triggers for the Eclipse, one may eventually be of interest to you.
 
Dave I would love a Eclipse replacement trigger please Dave PM me your details and cost I'm in the UK if you have the same shape as the micron that's even better. So as a starting base I will order two a soft trigger from Foxy one for micron and one for the eclipse. I'm Hoping to get some time to myself at the weekend Lee to get some painting done on my eye as I'm itching now to start the second project with Marissa I'm really enjoying watching Marissa TV so much knowledge, tip's and trick's shown.

James this may sound strange but a lower trigger will give much more control over the airbrush than the taller bigger V2 trigger , I used that V2 trigger when I lost the fine control over my trigger finger but that was when the V2 just came out I replaced the V2 trigger on my micron for the olympos F1 trigger last year and I love the feel of that short trigger the ridges on top of that trigger give me the grip I missed on the original V1 trigger that is much like the eclipse trigger and when I have saved up a bit more I will order 2 low triggers from Dave or Robby for my eclipse and revolution airbrush
 
this is the style trigger I have for the Eclipse - it is shorter, and offset to follow the natural flow of your finger as it crosses over the brush. If it does not float your boat, I can always custom cut something, but not the curved front roll of the Micron V2. I also have softer springs for Iwata style air valves...

Some custom handles I can do but the blanks I have to get from Dave.

They aren't really on offer, kind of on the back burner but if you have something specific in mind you could always ask me or @DaveG.... Might happen, might not ..... That's why they aren't specifically on offer at the moment.

We will eventually get our &hi# together - in the mean time, asking one or both of (Robby or I) and we will figure out how to get it done.
 
Congrats on joining the Micron gang. And no it's no special spring, that's just how good a Micron trigger is. I have the same V2 CM-SB

Oh yeah Dave been meaning to ask you how to get 6 of those springs. Like you heard earlier today I get that tool kit in the morning, and I'm gonna be a tinkering fool. :Dlol
