This doesn't seem right!? Createx Illustration

So, I have recently switched from e'tac to Createx Illustration paints. But look at the photo, this is illustration white that I bought in a 16oz. bottle along with black & Paynes Gray to compliment the Bloodline master set I got a few weeks ago. Because I dispise the flip cap bottle instead of twist caps I have a bunch of 1oz twist bottles that I refill, or use for custom colors on extended projects. I waited over a month to get it in from Coast who shipped it out to me the day they got it from Createx.

This separation happens daily, in fact I've seen it seperate in less than an hour in my cup with 4012 added. This has no 4012, just the pure white after giving the master bottle a really good shake. My e'tac PS (which I have gone back to for now) won't seperate like this, even after a month of sitting. The illustration paints (all of them) are very, very thin already compared to e'tac PS & EFX, Golden High Flows, and Wicked that I have on hand (the Wicked doesn't seperate either). So, did I get a bad batch? Does your illustration white seperate like this within a day? If it's not normal I might contact Coast & Createx simultaneously.

As a etac paint user I cant answer this but I do know the CI has been made for use on synthetic paper and it contains acetone and alcohol so that might cause the problem

It's just a thin binder, doesn't really emulsify well.
Yeah, it's a shame but I have a 16oz bottle still 3/4 full of e'tac efx white that I haven't touched in over a year and no matter how hard I agitate I can't get it to recombind. I even suck the bottle in my ultrasonic cleaner for over an hour trying to get it to emulsify, but nope. :poo:

My guess is that if you contact Createx, and give them the info, along with a batch number, they will replace it for you.

I have seen this happen too, and the story usually goes like this - "it must have frozen..." , "it's old...",, "you reduced it wrong..." , along with a lot of other theories that have it being something you did, etc... anything but the product can be a bit iffy. Then you become a villain because you mentioned it on a forum or group before contacting Createx...
